A 16-year-old girl was allegedly beaten by other girls before being held down to be raped in a horrifying attack that was filmed on a cellphone, it was revealed today.
Patricia Montes, 15, and 16-year-old Erica Avery are accused of punching, kicking and pepper-spraying the girl before holding her down to be raped by Jayvon Woolfork, 19, police said.
The barbaric attack was filmed on a cell phone by Lanel Singleton, 18, and shows the girl writhing half naked and weeping in the yard of a home in Hollywood, Florida while her attackers leer over her.

I hope the get the old book thrown at them, and THEN, on top of a VERY LONG sentence, get an extra like 12 years, or 10% more on their sentence, whichever is longer, as a gift for DARING to say "not guilty", and rolling their eyes.

Singleton was FACILITATING it! HE should at LEAST be charged with complicity, false imprisonment,etc... Think about it! They WANTED this recorded, and if he hadn't been there there would have been one less attacker.

I can see it now! networked storage for phones, and no pepper spray, because of this case and ones like it.

    RAPE?
    FALSE IMPRISONMENT?
    SUCH HARSH ASSAULT?

And ONE of those should be enough to lock them up for LONG TIME! They'll probably END UP getting like 10 years with no hope of parole, whittled down to 8years on good behaviour, with 3 years off for "time served", and then get paroled. So I'm betting at least 2 people end up serving virtually no time at all, and the rest little more.

All need to be charged and tossed in prison for a long time, including the parents of the minors. Maybe if parents of kids that do stuff like this start getting in trouble, today's parents will start doing a better job of raising their kids.

  • Hopefully, they will run into someone who will exercise their second amendment rights and deal them the justice that they so richly deserve......

True psychopaths....I know...we are supposed to call them sociopaths, but really....that distinction is often made based on brain abnormalities between the two definitions. And really, do most of us care which label one chooses to use?

The end results are the same. Horrific crimes perpetrated on the innocent. That is all that you really need to know.

I hope that everyone realizes that Sociopathy and Psychopathy, generally do NOT get cured! I wish that it was a reality. No cure for most of these deviants, sad to say.

And what about the victim? Where are her rights?

If I were the judge, I would give the VERY harshest punishment possible to them. The rapist is an adult, so there you go.....pile on kidnapping. I hope that NY Law is VERY HARSH on this type of behavior.

How about reckless endangerment of a minor?

I just hope that the spotlight of justice shines brightly on these animals and they reap what they have sown.

If they DID, the hero might get the death sentence.

You could be a socipath or psychopath and STILL be better than that group was. A single word doesn't seem to be able to do it justice.

I don't believe I have EVER heard of ANYONE being "cured" of ANYTHING outside of a relatively mild desire driven by habit. SERIOUSLY, it is like claiming they can easily cure cancer because they cured diaper rash! They might at times SEEM the same, but they are two ENTIRELY different things!

And what about the victim? Where are her rights?
DIDN'T you hear? "The victim is INNOCENT! He or she doesn't NEED rights! Rights are there to protect the guilty!" That isn't MY belief, just what many actually HAVE said! Of course, this is a RAPE which makes it a protected class innocence, so she might get a LITTLE attention. Interestingly, the ONLY reason rights are supposed to exist is to protect the INNOCENT! It says NOTHING about getting a light sentence, etc.... ALL it talks about is getting a fair impartial shake and a decent chance to PROVE you are not guilty! In an ideal world, with all known, and all having first hand evidence that you did it, with your confession, there wouldn't even be a trial!

If I were the judge, I would give the VERY harshest punishment possible to them. The rapist is an adult, so there you go.....pile on kidnapping. I hope that NY Law is VERY HARSH on this type of behavior.
Frankly, the idea of the person being a child or insane should make it WORSE! WHY? a KID is more likely to have it INGRAINED! An INSANE person is more likely to have an INTERNAL trigger! A man kills another making out with his wife is his bedroom. It is likely that that was due to the EXTERNAL trigger of someone doing that with his wife, or doing it in his own home! It IS unlikely to happen again. An insane person just kills a dozen people in a theater for no reason. It is LIKELY to happen again. Why does the first get life, and the second gets a pat on the wrist?

So i would really throw the book at them.

How about reckless endangerment of a minor?

      Well, we can hope......

No matter what name you use - I've begun to wonder if we are encouraging or even creating the sociopathy of these people. Social media is desensitizing us - there's no doubt of that.

Staged events blend with real videos and stories and they compete to see who can be stupider or more outrageous or more violent. I've wondered how many attacks like this wouldn't happen at all if not for the opportunity to gain "creds" by documenting it with cell phones and videos.

One of the most thought provoking comments I've heard recently was that over involvement in Facebook, twitter, YouTube and texting results in people who are documenting life instead of living it.

No matter how long these arsewipes serve in prison, I can guarantee the other inmates will make them "pay" for their crime(s).

Perps who commit these types of crimes are usually kept away from the general prison population, not for the safety of the other inmates, but for their own safety.

I really can't see any of the perps serving their full sentences, not because of "bleeding-heart policies", but because they're in mortal danger the minute they step inside the "correctional facility".

Such a brutal and viscous assault, and all I can say is that if it would have been my daughter who endured this heinous beating and rape, I'd be going to prison.

Rolling their eyes? That should be the only signal necessary to slam them into a mental institution and throw away the keys. It shows they have no remorse - no concept of the gravity of the situation. They are not going to be safe members of society..........ever. Declare them criminally insane and get them out of the way.

Not the first instance in this thread of the term animals being used in a pejoritive sense. But we do our fellow creatures a disservice.

With very few exceptions, it would seem that extreme cruelty carried out purely for pleasure's sake is a predominantly human activity.
