Any diet /slimming pills/potions really work?

Anyone recommend any diet pills/potions tht actually help? I am not so naive as to think they'll do it all..but any relly help?

    A lot of them will take weight off temporarily -- some do it without being completely dangerous, too. But they don't do much in the long run.

    If you want to be thin - you need to live a thin lifestyle. Don't know why people think you can short-cut that one. If you live like a fat person - you will be one. Doh.

    Being so unmotivated that being thin is a matter of diets, pills, programs, or other artificial means -- not a good prognosis at all. Come down off the cloud and get real. Are you a fat person or a thin person? Live like either one and that's what you will be.

    Thinking more like an apetite supressant or something that speeds up calorie burn after exrcise etc.

    I am not fat just not in as good shape as I used to be.

    I think your post was ovr the top and quite rude actually.

    Are you the kind of person that spends all day on this place scolding people? Sadly, every forum seems to have a few "people" like this.

    Is there an ignore function on this forum? Every forum needs one

      When you get to know the people here you'll realize that Sal wasn't being insulting at all. She speaks her mind, which is refreshing.

      And - the forum DOES have an ignore feature, but if you use it every time you don't like a response, pretty soon you'll be all alone here

      Now...

      As someone who has done the weight loss thing I can tell you that NOTHING works in the long term like proper diet and exercise. Every person that I personally know who did the supplement/shortcut weight loss path went right back to gaining weight once they stopped whatever it is they were doing to lose - except those who changed their eating and exercise habits. So if you do find a short cut that works for you, make SURE you also change your habits if you want long term weight loss.

    Just stating facts. If you can't handle that, I don't know what to tell you. You either live thin or you don't. Cal burning rather than storing is a matter of your whole lifestyle. Um...........I wrote a damned book on it. Okay?

    Want me to be nice.......I'll give you one example...........
    adjust your thermostat so your temp is a few degrees less than comfy and make your body work to keep you warm or cooled. You'd be surprised how much weight people can gain just from temperature controlling to a point their body needs to do no work to be comfy.

    There was one that worked GREAT!

    ******SAFE*******(Even at maybe a couple times the dose, but you really don't have to overdose. ANYTHING is dangerous in excess.)

    ******CHEAP******
    ******GIVE YOU ENERGY******(I NEVER had a crash)

    ECA!!!!!!!!!!

    FACT! One of the leaders in the weight loss industry MADE THEIR NAME on this! When it was banned, the leader became a virtual has been, constantly coming out with new ideas that never seemed to work.

    So what happened? A bunch of idiots were using the E of ECA which was one of the best stimulants and figured they could just take a ton of it, and even go out into the heat and play extended football games. Some DIED! SO, the US, for a LONG TIME, BANNED IT! I believe you could now get it in SOME parts of the US.

    You may have to be careful now, because there may be some odd variants. ECA WAS fairly safe. And ECA stands for what it was made out of. Ephedra(AKA MA HUANG), Caffeine, and Aspirin(AKA WILLOWS BARK). Although 2 of those WERE stimulants, you had to take far less of the two than any ONE required by itself. They had a synergistic effect. Most stimulants don't make me jittery anyway, but I don't think I heard ANYONE say this did.

    Terra - that's how I keep limber. Dance is good for the body for a lot of reasons. It also has the benefit that unlike "exercise programs", it's not work so you won't fall out of it as easily. Just crank on a few favorite tunes everyday and shake that bootie. Good for the attitude, too.

    Might not take a lot of weight off you on its own, but it sure keeps your body tone and stretched.

        I know someone who has been a frutarian for 10 years, eats fruit and raw or cooked vegetables (organic). Very, healthy, bags of energy, dances a lot, very slim.

        Personally I am a tbonesteakjunkfoodarian. I have bags of bags under my eyes and my stomach gets around the corner first. I used to do the bullworker and run everyday but thats a long time ago, the bullworker has rusted through. I went from having a Charles Atlas body, expanded chest, flat stomach and now it is the opposite way around.

        I would say a jog in the park or regular swim will do a lot to burn the fat. Diets dont work, sewn up mouths do.

    Ya i watched on youtube. They did a scientific study in the UK. the Raw Diet (raw fruits and veggies, unprocessed in anyway) works! Even if you only do it for 14 days you can lower your blood pressure and bad cholesterol by like 25%.

      Diets seem such a lot of effort. Every moment of every day you have to be aware of it. People hate being on them. They're such an effort.

      On the other hand you could go for a jog for 20 minutes. It fascinates me the length people go to, to make their lives hard, to avoid a very short period of physical exercise each day - Assuming of course they can physically do any exercise

      As for the pills and potions. I'd feel safer going for that jog.

    Eat less, exercise more, cut out sugar & refined flour, low-fat everything, drink lots of water!
