Jon Jones VS Alexander Gustafsson, UFC 165

I come across a lot of comments to the effect that Alexander Gustafsson won the UFC 165 fight, though the judges said Jon Jones won. I watched the fight and, in my opinion, the fight was definitely competitive, but Jon Jones won the fight. Alexander Gustafsson took elbows and knees to head in the fourh round, clearly staggered, and was visibly wobbly in the last round before Jones grappled him to the ground at the end of the fight.

I saw it, and was very impressed with both Jones and Gustafsson.

I don't know who really won, although Jones got the decision. But truth be told, I thought Gustafsson was a tad more impressive.

That doesn't mean I thought he won, just that he was more impressive. And that's saying a lot, since Jones is a Phenomenon.

I saw the fight too, one of the best ones I've ever seen.

I really couldn't say who won but in some ways, just the fact that Jones suddenly looked beatable for once, may have made me think Gustafsson was looking better as I'd not seen much of him before that fight. It was seriously close though and they can both take a hell of a whack and I'd love to see them get it on again.

Seeing Jones in hospital with electrodes attached to him in bed and Gustafsson dressed and ready to leave hospital, made me wonder who came out worse, physically and mentally.

I watch these battles with fascination, respect for skills and ability to strategically apply them, and...horror. They're inflicting serious damage on themselves that can last a lifetiime.

Why are you talking to him Thunderbird? He just copy and pasted my post from above his.

I agree with what you're saying though, it worries me where some of these guys will be in 20 years.

Thunderbird always talks to spammers just before they disappear. It's like a death-kiss or something.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Whoops. I fell for that one. Sorry about that. The nerve (or is it electronic impulse) of some bots, sheesh.

I literally posted it, made an edit and it was already copy and pasted. Might as well let me leave the page before doing it but he/she/it was too trigger happy.

I'm just hurt and upset you must have skimmed my post straight on to his. How could you? My posts are always insightful, fun and wonderful to read.

            Everyone knows that.

I didn't skim it, so much as mixing up the comment's source. It's a bizarre and interesting strategy for a bot (or person) to copy and paste previous comment). But I fell for it, so there you go.

I'm only teasing you, I like you Thunderbird.

Believe me, I fall for lots of things. Hell, I even fall over occasionally.

By the 3rd round, Gusta was winning by 2 rounds to 1.
By the fifth round, Jones had won.

Cos he won the 4th and 5th "championship rounds".

Now Gusta won rounds 1 & 3 by bigger margins than Jones did in 2, 4 & 5.... but because the 10 point must system is retarded, Jones won 3 rounds to 2. Though Gusta had more damage in his 2 rounds....
