I have often pondered if the Just In Time way of doing business would work well here? I mean create information products that were specifically requested by individuals' that were already asking about your opportunity
then sell them at a discounted price.
What opinions do others have about this?

I'm not sure that the minimising of product components to match customer demand that JIT offers would be much use here; info products aren't made up of components, they're created out of thin air.

However, take a look at "Threadless", a company that invites art students to send in designs for t-shirts, polls site visitors to choose the design they like the most and then prints the most popular designs onto t-shirts. In other words, the audience designs the product, the audience votes for the design that they like the most and then the audience hands over its cash. The result is that Threadless turns over $30 million/year!
