Husband In Hospital...Car Totaled

Hey Warriors, just wanted to post up a quick note that I have spent the last 12 hours with my husband at the hospital after a car wrecked in to mine as he was driving to the store late last night.

I'm trying to look up photos of the crash now on my local news station that broadcast the story here this morning around 6:30 am: WSYX ABC 6

I will be posting up those images as soon as I find them so you can see the damage. Luckily, we have insurance both medical and car, so that's a plus.

But, if anyone has contacted me about any work, it will be a few days while I help my husband recuperate at home from his injuries.

He's being released right now. I'm posting this as I came home to take care of my children, make sure they were safe, and get them something to eat.

I will post more details as I get them including images of my destroyed car.

UPDATE:

Okay, here's the only pic I have that was given to us by the hospital of my car after the accident. It's a Polaroid, and it was taken at night when the accident happened, so the quality isn't that great.

We wanted to take photos of the car at the police impound lot, but the police told us that this was not permitted unless it was court ordered. So, we are waiting for that to happen.

Obviously, he's really really lucky to be alive!

Glad to know his injuries were light enough that he is coming home already. You can replace a car. Well...you can replace a guy, too, but you know what I mean.........

Hope all is back to normal for you both soon.

    Im glad hes ok.

Now have you given any thought to what kind of new car your gonna get?

(insert affiliate link here) jk lol.

My wife totaled our Durango about 3 months ago and called me and asked if i was mad at her. I was like seriously? all i care about is if your ok. Im not always mad at her so i dont know why she thought i would be.

So i got a Hummer H3 to replace the durango.

Tracy - I'm glad he's ok enough to come home - make sure to watch over him for a few days too.

Save pictures so the kids can remind daddy in the future about the time he wrecked the car - its what my kids do with photos of the truck I totaled several years ago :-)

Finally if there's anything I or my family can do to help out just let us know.

    peace,

Thanks for all the replies guys and gals. I really appreciate it.

Yep, I'm truly thankful that he is all right. He has done so much for me over the years, I hate to imagine what my life would have been like without him. If I would have lost him, it would have been like losing half of my own heart.

I know it's sappy, but I love him that much

I'm going to be running a WSO tomorrow to raise a little extra money for other necessary supplies he'll be needing for the best recovery, so look for that if you'd like to help. It will be a heck of a deal at a very low cost.

Thanks again to everyone and their words of encouragement and helping me laugh. You guys and gals are the greatest bunch of folks anywhere on, and off, the net.

Thank God it worked out O.K. for you all.
A very good time to reconsider what is most important.
With the downed French airliner and 200+ lost, your event brings it all from macro to street level.
Congrats and may he have a most speedy recovery.

Yes, he's getting the royal treatment....and loving every minute of it!! He's sleeping now, so I pop online during those times to see what's going on as fast as I can

You know, he told me the craziest thing yesterday....

He said that he was going to take our 10 year old daughter with him the night of the accident.

Well, she would have been sitting on the front passenger side. That's where the car was completely obliterated. I think besides himself being injured, but thankfully alive, it became a very surreal moment for us both realizing what could have happened, and what we could have lost in the blink of an eye.

We all have to be thankful everyday of all the joys in our lives, whether they be small or large. Because truthfully, they could be wiped out in a split second.

I know there was a higher power at work that night. For all of us. And I am grateful to have my family still with me.

You are right Tracy. I too believe that we are under the guidance of a higher power, which I call the Spirit. Nothing happens without reason and the fact that your daughter was not in the car is proof of that. Its like the 2 guys who did not get on that French Jet, flight 417 I think it is, because one of them had an expired passport.

Cars can be replaced, husbands not so easily. Thank God he is going to be OK. Keep us posted.

      God bless

I just added the only pic I have of the car after the accident above in the original post. It's a crappy Polaroid, but that's all we have at the moment.

I had to take a pic of it using my digital camera, so the quality is about the same, except the image was so dark, due to it being taken originally at night, that I had to use the flash.

But, I think you get the idea!

Anyone reading this should go buy Tracy's WSO offer:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...oc-format.html

Its a nice deal and a product that just about anyone could benefit from.

Plus we could help take a little stress off by sending her some cash ;-)

Josh, that's so cool of you.

And Josh did purchase the package, so he's speaking from experience there

All funds raised would definitely help us out as the car pictured above was our only transportation. Now we have to use the "shoe leather express" to get anywhere. Good exercise but tough on a 10 year old with Asthma.

    Dear Tracy,

Wow - you know God's hand was in this accident protecting your husband from death or super-serious injuries - thanks for sharing with all of us.

It's also evident in the fact that your husband did *not* take your daughter - he listened to that still, small voice and it saved her life.

There's nothing sappy about loving someone that much, either - you are so fortunate to have one another and may the union you share continue to be joy-filled and blessed.

Let me know if there's anything I can do - even from so far away... besides keeping you guys in my thoughts.
