I know this is a long shot but just curious if any of my fellow Warriors are Crue fans?

If so, you going to the final tour?

I just got me and my sons tickets to the July 16th show (got lawn because a.) too many boobies in the Pavillion and b.) too much pot in the Pavillion). Plus lawn, to me is always one big party.

I can't wait! I haven't been in a few years because I didn't like the company I would have had to go with but now I do!

Don't care much about Alice Cooper but he's okay. Wish it was Poison or some other hair band I could have fun listening to. Cooper seems so gloomy. lol

I love Motley Crue also! Although the last concert I went to of theirs I think was around 1990 Maybe? I can just remember being blown away by Tommy Lee's rolling drum-set. Still the best drummer of all time in my opinion. - I'd buy final tour tickets just to see him play.

I remember the first apartment I lived in when I moved out of my parents house - the lady upstairs from me would blast the most awful rap music. I had a 1200 watt stereo system with 4ft high speakers... I would crank up Motley Crue's "Kick Start My Heart" to full blast and hold a speaker above my head right up against the ceiling. - A couple of times of doing that and I never heard her rap music again... I'm not sure if it's because she never played it again, or that I went a little deaf listening to Kick Start My Heart...lol. - Good times!

Maybe the best "hair band" drummer. He's no slouch, but opinions being what they are I can think of a dozen drummers (from various genre's) that I think are much better. That could also be because I never got in to the hair bands all that much. I was in the Navy through much of that time and was still listening to my 70's and early 80's rock icons.

I do admit though that I have a few Crue songs on my playlist

Oh yeah! I've for tickets for the show in Boston in August. This will be the third and final time I've seen them. Love love love the Crue. Actually, my avatar photo was taken at the CrueFest in 2009

Tommy's drumming is awsome, Mick's guitar playing still blows my mind. Nikki's alright on bass, I guess, but I have to say though, Vince's singing is getting pretty bad. He screws up just about every song and sometimes forgets the words! Oh well, it'll still be an awesome show!

That's what I love about Crue - it's just one big party. I love Vince's vocals (even if they're shot now to some degree). I love Nikki and his over inflated ego. I love Tommy's party antics onstage whether he's flying through the air or rollercoastering. And Mick? Well who doesn't love Mick just for being Mick?

    Can't wait.

No Feelgood here -- I won't be there, except in spirit. Can't believe they're breaking up.

I used to be a hardcore fan. I've kind of moved away from metal, though. Except for the occasional YouTube video when I need some "pick-me-up" music.

Nope. Been there, done that. It was a great concert, though.

Actually, I've seen Alice Cooper twice and he's excellent. You just have to keep in mind that it's all a staged production, nothing gloomy. Alice is actually a Christian, believe it or not. His daughter, Calico, is part of the show now too. I'm pretty sure she plays an abused woman.

Alice is totally down on domestic violence, as everyone should be. If you read up on his theatrics, why he's doing what he's doing, etc it makes a lot more sense.

His guitarists were also both top-notch when I saw him, but I'm not sure if they're the same guys or not.

Oh, and Poison was awesome too. I saw them when they opened for Kiss back in 2004 or 2005.

    Have fun. :-)

They broke up before and reunited. Tommy's always wanted to do his own thing and Mick's deteriorating. Maybe someday they'll be back. I'm just glad I have Van Halen again. lol

Just a note about Alice Cooper...

I really like his Nights With Alice Cooper show (radio) and listen to it as often as I can. He's very cool and a whole lot friendlier than you'd expect from his stage persona...

Here's his website for the radio show:

And there's a page where it lists the radio stations that you can listen to on the web:

I listen to him. I knew him a little bit. I lived in Flint so met a lot of the guys in the bands that played the Detroit circuit. Alice (Vince) was actually from that area, but moved, then came back in his early music career....he went to CA first but thought it sucked. He's a genuinely nice guy.......his dad was a minister, so that might have something to do with his love for people.

Can't remember if he was already married to his wife back in those days, but he's been married to the same woman for almost ever and he's still in love with her and to me, that's real kewl.
