An Open Letter to the Makers of The Wolf of Wall Street, and the Wolf Himself | The Informer | Los Angeles | Los Angeles News and Events | LA Weekly

Which apparently even resulted in a deal for her memoirs

And here is the dad's epic response.

The Father Of The Girl Who Wrote An Open Letter To The Makers Of 'Wolf Of Wall Street' Has His Own Response And It's Epic | Elite Daily

For those who don't want to read a long letter (you're missing out)
Here is a picture demonstrating what the letter did:

What will happen next?

Will the book deal go on anyway?
Will the truth come out? Will the girl hunker down and adopt the timeless tried and true strategy of "Admit nothing, Deny everything, and make counter-accusations"? Will the father lose his calm cool collected demaenor to sue his daughter and the publishing house for every penny?

Stay tuned ladies and gentlemen. socialentry brings you relevant news about the world around you.

What does "beautiful" have to do with the story? Just curious. The 2004 story on this guy is at the top of search results for his name - interesting facts in it.

Penny-Stock Lawyer Nears Day of Reckoning (washingtonpost.com)

They described him as "leading an expensive lifestyle, including maintaining two multi-million dollar homes [in McLean and on Nantucket] and a $2 million personal aircraft."
Of course, the daughter enjoyed the million dollar lifestyle while it lasted. That's the problem with spoiled rich kids - when the tap is turned off, they'll turn on you.

Wrong, Uday and Qusay Hussein fought to the death for Saddam.

They could easily have given themselves up to the Americans, but they didn't.

But I agree though, that Prousalis family is not really good if they wanted to air dirty laundry in public.

    That is sad.

It is also an example of why I hold my own father's wisdom in high esteem when he advised against publicly airing private matters, "Letting it all hang out doesn't always free you. It can cause public chaos and entrap you."

WOW! One has to wonder where the REAL story is.

She discredited her story a LOT with the ad for her book, timing, and sudden story, but the letter from the father does it all the more.

As for the lifestyle, etc...? WOW! Sometimes people SURPRISE me. Like the guys that say that we can just buy meat at the store and never have to kill animals again. Some poor people seem to think that others just go someplace and get free money. Perhaps some rich heirs are as ignorant of that.

If I were so lucky to have had such a lavish youth, I would have relished that. It is silly to expect that you will always have such things, especially if YOU have no direct control of them.

And penny stocks are KNOWN for being VERY risky! They tend to be young or struggling companies. And brokers used to SHUN them like the plague! So her father may have often had to get new clients.

It seems to me that he kind of proved her story true by penning his own "open letter" response. It's obvious that he has little concern for his daughter's feelings - his only concern is the way he appears to the public, otherwise he would have taken his rebuttal to her personally and hashed it out in private. - Of course she was probably wrong for taking her problem public in the first place, but she's the younger of the two and can be expected to have less wisdom.

If you're a wise father you do not "pwned" your children in public. Not if you want to have any type of continuing useful dialog with them. His reaction to me is just proof that he's exactly who she said he is. She may not have all of the specific facts right, but I have no doubt that she believes every word she wrote.

You are drawing a lot of conclusions - and that's fine as everyone has an opinion. I think the public attacks are the new weapon of famous or infamous family members - and the timing is usually carefully chosen.

The truth of the ID theft and debt of the daughter is part of a record somewhere and may eventually come out. The father answered in the public commentary method his daughter chose.

It isn't the first time Prousalis has responded to an attack publicly -

Tom Prousalis The Washington Post & The Wolf of Wall Street | The Costa Rican Times

Interesting story - but I don't much care for either of them.

You may be right. Controversy does lead to publicity. It's hard to know any more whether a story like this one is real, or made up specifically for selling a "memoir".

Interesting question. Considering who we're talking about, it wouldn't be at all surprising if they conspired together in this to bring publicity to their respective projects. If it wasn't intentional, it was accidentally brilliant.

I can understand the daughter's motivations (to be a big star, even though getting pwned in such a fashion I'm not sure if it is great for her image).

I'm not sure how this could benefit the father though.

She may not have been right to air her views in public. But don't underestimate the effect of jail and bankruptcy of a father has on children, especially on their self esteem. They are often cruelly treated by their classmates at school and other people.

Thats just sad and no she didn't get owned. All that happened is the Internet world laughed at them and some people like me feel sad for them.

She is a silly little girl and her father seems like a self obsessed man.

You dont fight fire with fire with family.

As a loving and caring father which he says he is it clearly shows he did not teach his daughter about respect, honour and most importantly family.

Secondly he made a bad move taking to her open letter with another one, instead of calling her or meeting with her to listen to whatever it is she needs to get off her chest and then say "Sorry if I ever did genuinely hurt you, I didn't know whatever it was I did effected you in that way, I love you" and then who knows, maybe the girl would even apologise in another open letter.

This is the portrayal of narcissism and Ego at its best.
