Firefox crashes or almost stucks these days as I use it to watch videos. Is it the version of the adobe flash plugin or what?
I uninstalled it and Firefox is now fine. when I try to watch videos it warns me that the adobe plugin is missing but plays the video after a while. Does that mean I don't need the plugin anyways?

I'm not sure what the plugin actually does, except maybe update MIME , but http really can do very little. ONE thing it DOES use though, is use mime MIME - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia SO, if a file is sent over that has a given extension, http will run the proper program to access it.

I uninstalled version 11. bla bla and installed a standalone Adobe flash player and now it is working fine. I wanted to use firefox without Adobe flash plugin as I was able to watch youtube videos without it. But sites like clickbank insist on installing the Adobe flash addon. So I searched and found the latest version which is working now.

I had to do the same thin a while back. I'm not sure if adobe is doing it on purpose to pull people away from firefox or what - but I also had to downgrade to a previous version of flash to get it to work with firefox. I've had to do that several times over the last few years on several computers. If it's not on purpose, you'd think that they'd have it figured out by now.

Now it has crushed again. Grayv Pls tell me the URL of previous versions. Yes sometimes previous versions work better but the companies insist on using the latest. I don't agree!

I had this same problem and uninstalled Adobe Flash and installed version 10 and it works fine. If you do that, make sure you don't update it again to the latest version or you will have the same problem.

I don't understand why Firefox and Flash don't work together with their latest versions. Firefox is really falling behind with this one and losing clients big time.

    I now use Chrome.

Sometimes I think it's the combination of software on our computers that causes problems. I've never had trouble with Firefox and flash, but flash crashes Chrome for me quite regularly.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.
