New To Affiliate Marketing | Guidance Wanted

Very new to all of this affiliate marketing stuff but I have taken quite an interest in it and would like to get involved. Seen many youtube videos and read much content on what the best and easiest way to pursue it is, but it seems like everyone has their different methods and not sure what is bad advice. Not assuming that there is a certain "right" way to do marketing, but wondering if someone can give me an honest strategy on how someone new to it all shoulder take their first steps in achieving success. Any beneficial posts or personal help would be greatly appreciated.

Take into note I have done my research and have a decent understanding of everything. I have a clickbank & amazon associates account, web hosting, and have a little experience with wordpress, just haven't taken any actual steps into pursuing any niches.

Hi imnewaffiliate - welcome to the Warriors.

I think the first thing you should work on is figuring out how not to double post.

      Hi, and welcome!

Well, l could go on forever, but if you are developing a product, keep away from video walkthroughs and e-books.

There are exceptions, but generally they have been done to death, and have a low perceived value.

Or in other words, $10 is most likely the limit to price tags.

      Which gets rid of Adwords!

I created some WP software, (l am not into WP either, had to learn how to create a blog, etc) but since it is software, it has a much higher perceived value.

So l could get up to $25 for it.

I also got about 100 affiliates, and it made over $1000 all up, but most of that went into affiliate profits.

And WP, Facebook stuff sells well, but the kw costs with Adwords are sky high, or typically $5 a click.

You could also try other forms of traffic, blah, blah, blah.

I have spent 6 years at all this, and can tell you from first hand experience, that there is a lot of this, works in one way and fails in another way crap to deal with.

That is why l am doing Party Flyers for Graphicriver; cuts out a lot of the SEO crap, but still a tricky niche to profit from.

Buying cheap, high demand products from Amazon, and reselling them on Ebay is one good idea. I personally haven't done it myself, but can see the potential from people who have!

      Good luck.

A good way to start marketing your affiliate links is safe lists. I went nuts with safe list marketing and its paying of nicely
Safe lists are sites where marketers agree to allow all other members to send them email adverts in exchange you are allowed to send them yours - so no chance of spamming accusations

open up 2 new gmail accounts for this task (mandatory) then read about 10+ email adverts from fllow marketers then you are allowed to post.

Please note: safe lists send you a huge amount of emails

it is effective if you are consistent, plus the safe lists reward you if they see you are regularly active on their safe list with even more bonus leads

Some good safe lists to start with
    MillionLeadsForFree.com
    FreeSafeListMailer.com
    EliteSafelist

    To your complete online success!

You'll probably get a much better response in the main forum. The OT is where we come to specifically not talk about business.
