The 1 Weirdest Thing You Never Knew About Your Home State

I didn't know my adopted state is very responsible for starting the Beatles phenom in America and my original home state was home to Napoleon Bonaparte's private part.

California has an interesting one - Studios including Paramount and Universal moved west to Hollywood to escape Thomas Edison's Patents. Kind of ironic that they now use their own copyrights and patents as offensive weapons to stifle progress.

        Oh, Kim...

Seeing you post just reminded me that Colon, Michigan is home to the world's largest manufacturer of magic supplies.

I'm so relieved to know I can hunt unicorns legally when I go home this summer. It'll give my dad and I something to do. You'll have to load up your Sauer and come with us, Terra.

The most surprising one to me was that two towns in Arizona still receive mail by mule train.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

I used to own some property in New Mexico,
and every once in a while they delivered with
a donkey "because of the mud slides".

Don't ask me how a donkey is better than a Jeep,
they couldn't answer that one.

Serious? You haven't done much 4 wheelin' out there, then. When it's wet it's not a road. Donkeys don't have to stay on a road - they can travel uphill and around rock outcrops when the roads are soaked down. That's how they're better. I've been out to 4 wheeling terrain in the west many a time where horses and donkeys are being used by the rock hunters when their 4WD couldn't get through on roads. Some are used to pull the vehicles out of the mud bogs.

Soka... I figured it was something like that, but didn't
hear it from anyone who knew what they were talking about.
