Hello brothers and sisters.

What is your definition of "massive action"?

What benefits has this given your business?

Massive action is simply attempting to do more in a day than there are hours for.

It has benefited me simply by compounding the amount of traffic I see on a daily basis. More traffic equals more of everything else across the board

To me, massive action is identifying an objective you want to achieve and then not stopping until you achieve it.

It is focussed and not the same as massive activity! So choosing the right objectives is key.

Taking massive action stopped me from being an 'opportunity seeker', flitting from one shiny object to another, and turned me into a business owner.

    Aiming for massive goals.

And then doing whatever is necessary (legally of course!) to reach those goals.

A friend of mine has interviewed a lot of top achievers and they all do that in some shape. One described his goals as big fat hairy goals.

The fun part is that you get more done when you take massive action.

It means never stopping even though you're probably doing a lot of stuff that doesn't work.

I always thought that was the action it takes to get out of bed and get the coffee brewing in the morning.

Then there's people like Dan and Claude - for them it's what they flush in the morning.

Ah, a kindred spirit. For me, massive action is getting out of bed.

Having done that though, the rest of the day (whatever that entails), is a doddle.

And also what they flush in the morning when they spot a police squad and a battering ram outside their front door!

To me massive action is when you're consistently doing things that will help you reach your goal. If you're passionate about what you're doing you should be naturally motivated to take massive action, but if you're uncertain or feel uncomfortable about what you're doing then you need to develop your will power and self-discipline.

Once you understand the importance of consistency then it's time to take things to the next level. Put in more hours and make sure those hours are productive. I believe massive action is great, but if it's not consistent or it leads to burn out then it can do more harm than good.

Massive action is taking daily, consistent action and not worrying about it being perfect. Just get out there and make stuff happen.

This is what I learned from Tim Gorman, Sean Mize and Lance Winslow at EzineArticles.com back in 2006/2007. Pick a topic, set a goal of how many articles I was going to write (no matter what) each day and just do it.

My thoughts are that although you should take massive action to get off to a good start on a new project, consistent action is more important. It helps us as human beings to see rewards for our efforts, even if it's a small trickle of traffic coming in. Massive action in the beginning of a new project can help get the ball rolling quickly, generate momentum and then you can build upon that.

I'd also recommend having a PROVEN plan in place before taking any action. Taking massive action on something that doesn't work or isn't going to work long term is a complete waste of time and can be very discouraging. Been there, done that.

Once you've chosen a proven plan, break it up into step by step tasks and make a commitment to do a manageable amount of those steps every day, for 2-3 hours per day, 5-10 hours per week or whatever works best for you and fits your schedule, but make sure that you set goals that you can easily stick to! Otherwise you're setting yourself up for failure.

I dunno. I wouldn't call the big bang, consistent. It was pretty massive, though.

There is one caveat in that one may be doing the wrong massive action and wasting valuable time. Focus first on getting the mind right and the right course of action will be followed.

Massive Action is like superconductivity. It involves applying all of one's energy towards achieving a defined objective, not wasting it on energy-consuming activity such as, well, posting here.
