Wireless electricity? It's here

In the house of the future, wire-free energy transfer could be as easy as wireless internet.

If all goes to WiTricity's plans, smartphones will charge in your pocket as you wander around, televisions will flicker with no wires attached, and electric cars will refuel while sitting on the driveway.

The kids that are growing up in a couple of years will never have to plug anything in again to charge it.

Tesla could have made this a reality years ago. But it would have been free and no profit for the energy companies. No wonder he was silenced. What a genius he was, what idiots the greedy powers that be are.

Putting that gripe aside. How would they keep the fields contained within a house. Could you not stand outside a building and poach it.

I suppose poaching is a real possibility. However, like Wi-Fi, the magnetic fields used in this new electric technology would have a fairly limited reach I would think. You have to be close enough to the magnetic field in order to induce a current in the device you are charging.

Yep, had a quick read, they said it was going to be a challenge to do this at a distance!

        WHAT A CROCK!!!

Tessler did all this already, and as someone else had said got silenced!

This company is just taking a crack at it, but doing it in a "keep the grid, no freebies" kind of way!

The company that did the Tessler electric car did the same.

The car goes up to 400k's before it needs a recharge, if they had put a Ho-Jo motor in the back and it powered itself, then the usual gov, takes over, suppressed, or even bully tactics crap would result!

I take my hat off to them for getting this through, but taking credit for it, isn't something l am crazy about!

          Shane,

The rule of thumb is that if you don't have an original idea of your own, steal somebody else's! Don't detract from the excitement and interest of this wonderful new concept. Tessler who!??
