Sister act: Nun stuns on Italy's 'The Voice' (Video)
The singing Sister identifies herself as 25-year-old Cristina from Sicily (but living in Milan) and an Orsolina nun of the Holy Family. She took to the stage during The Voice Of Italy with a performance of Alicia Keys' "No One," and it earned her all four shocked judges' approval. The nun's childhood dream was to become a singer and when, in 2008, the Orsolina Sisters organized a music talent competition, she ended up participating by chance. The singing nun was convinced by her Mother Superior to participate in The Voice of Italy. The YouTube video -- which has gone viral with more than 3 million views since being uploaded on March 19 -- shows as each one of the judges is captivated by the singing nun's voice and are shocked to see she is dressed in her habit. |
