I have heard a lot about domain flipping in the recent times. It's a new concept that's catching up in a big way. I know some people who are making big bucks out of this. I too would like to try my hand at it. But before I do this, I need to know more about it from a reliable source.

Not a new concept at all, but yes it can be very profitable. Just buy a domain, build a site, load it up with content, then flip it. The fastest and most profitable way to do this is with current hot topics, trends or products.

      It's like Paul said clarke.
You buy a domain name that you think will have some potential.
Then you build a website on that domain with relevant content.
Ideally you want traffic and if you are selling anything sales.
      Then you sell it.

I did buy an ebook on it(site flipping).....yeah people are making money on this for sure. It seems saturated to me though. It might sound naive but I would like to get the inside glimpse from someone who's doin it on a daily basis....

Site flipping can be extremely profitable but the best way is after the site is built to get the traffic and stats - so many hits/conversions etc., the page rank, and with the edition of documented income, I know one guy who sold a site that was a few years old for $53,000! (the income was only $2000 a month!) This is a true story and I was just delighted...

It was a beautiful site, but the bottom line was the stats on what the domain was doing rank wise, sales wise, traffic wise....

I am learning right now how to build some cool membership sites and I hope to make some extra money with it eventually.

I will have one price off the shelf and one with maybe running some SEO campaigns to get some traffic first so I will have the stats for a better price.

I noticed that - but think the language means "usually at $XXX" - could be wrong.

LOL!! A $14.95 book being sold "at a concessional price of $29.95". That marketing method is definitely new to me.

But come on now, no one who is successfully flipping sites will reveal exactly how it's done.
          Why should we?

Basically, it involves speculating on domain names (often buying hundreds at a time and "parking" them), develop sales-driven content, submitting to search engines, then selling them. It is nowhere near a "saturated" market, as there are always new topics, products, and trends to promote.

This method is nothing new, and can be extremely lucrative indeed.
