Not so innocent nursery rhymes deal with sex without consent and the 69 sex position

This is a Dutch one.

„Twee emmertjes water halen, twee emmertjes pompen, meisjes op de klompen, meisjes op een houten been, rij maar door mijn straatje heen."

Fetch two buckets of water, two buckets pumps, girls on the clogs, girls on a wooden leg, but driving through my alley way

Another one:

Poesje mauw, kom eens gauw,ik heb lekkere melk voor jou en voor mij rijstebrij,o wat heerlijk smullen wij."

This one deals with sex in the "69" position. WTF?

This is a Dutch rhyme from 1876 and is sang in Dutch schools. It is about having sex with a crippled girl because she can't run away.

Shouldn't schools start to rethink the nursery rhymes they teach in schools?

Good point. But surly, they can come up with something more appropriate and contemporary.

You know, things that have less to do with the black plague, rape, and sex positions and more to do with happy children stuff.

I remember making up rude rhymes with my friends, back in our school days. And we were young and particularly naughty with our wordage.

By all means, make up new and appropriate rhymes ... but just don't let the children do it!

Yep, "Jack and Jill" is sexist, has a couple of health and safety issues, but it still gets sung!

The other one, where some children get dumped in the forest by their parents, and one gets cooked while the other is thrown in a cell, gets sung as well! If Hansel and Gretel, throwed in some leather bondage as well it would be perfect!

Or possibly Claude's Batman outfit, (not sure if it is back from the steamcleaners yet)?

I won't go into Slow White and the 7 dwarfs!

    LMAO. Good rant, Shane.

I actually didn't realize how demented I have been caused to be. I had whole books of this kinda stuff. Now I understand why I wander around looking at pretty rocks n stuff. La la la la la la la.

Beats the hell out of me. Surly, some kind of international body has taken interest in this matter.
Some parents won't let their kids watch the Simpsons, but it's ok to teach them nursery rhymes that deal with raping girls with wooden legs and women drinking their husbands "lekkere melk".
