HEY, it shows they AREN'T that smart! On FOX and friends, one guy said he would find a walkman for his son! As for too old? The technology used in the walkman had been largely stable for over 60 years. The current technology that is equivalent has some SEVERE problems, and the longevity may be unknown, so it will likely change. Who knows how the interface may change. Frankly, I am surprised that they made the microsds so small. It makes you wonder how much smaller they will try to make them.

I have every laptop I have bought since 1998. I don't believe the first one had an RJ45 connection. At the time, I was betting on a 10b2. It was cheaper and easier to setup. ALAS, the world DID end up going to 10bt(which uses the RJ45). HDMI didn't exist. SD DISK didn't exist. USB didn't exist. WIFI didn't exist.

NOW, RS232 isn't widely available. 10b2 is all but history. VGA may not exist. Parallel doesn't exist. PCMCIA doesn't exist. ISA doesn't exist. PCI doesn't exist.

    MY thoughts?

    1. Eventually, HDMI will likely be replaced.
    2. Eventually, USB may be replaced.
    3. I'm sure WIFI will likely be replaced. It may go the way of payphones, and for the same reason!
    4. CDROMS will likely disappear.
    5. SDMEM may even disappear, but will change.

HECK, they may even get rid of computers as we know them in retail outlets, they DO seem headed that way.

It's not surprising that kids react to gramophones that way.

    (just kidding)
