No, this isn't another HuffPo list of wildly inaccurate claims, it's a compilation of some truly breathtaking bits of planet Earth, some of them from National Geographic.

Enjoy.

Wow! Stunning places and photography. I'm pretty sure I set a new record for the number of times I said "wow" on a single web page.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

The only place I have been on that list are the "Reed Flute Caves, China". I do not have good memories of that place though because my camera got stolen there.

I haven't seen Lake Hillier (the pink lake), however if you fly across Australia, say from Perth to Sydney (or vice versa), you can see quite a few pink lakes in the "outback" depending on the time of the year.

      Bigar Waterfall, Romania

I could almost hear the water and smell the woods and the moss from that photo. The last photo in Croatia is also stunning.

    My favourites,

    Bigar Waterfall, Romania
    Turquoise Ice, Lake Baikal, Russia
    Pamukkale Hot Springs, Turkey
    Plitvice Lakes, Croatia

    Breathtaking!

I'll bet Sal's favourite would be Naica Mine, Mexico, but that just a guess
