Do you keep parakeets/birdies in birdie dungeons?
Talk about a unique subject! 
I had the weirdest dream today about people neglecting their companion birdies and was moved to post this.
Since 2006, parakeets have graced our home (check out the humor site TwitterBudgie: Break the Barriers I built). The thing about keets (or cockatiels or other small birdies) is that because they're so cheap, so many people think of them as 'throwaway' or 'starter' birds and keep them in teeny tiny cages with very little to occupy themselves.
Budgies can be very smart birdies and deserve 'way better. So if you currently have any small birds as pets, make sure you give them a good-sized caged and toys and all that kinda good stuff.
