For years I sleep for only 2 hours at a time... I can set my clock by it. And I won't take sleeping pills because then I feel like crap the next day. But think I've found a solution!

Apple cider vinegar!

I've been taking ACV (Braggs) off and on forever, but never at bedtime. Then I read if you take it about an hour before bed it will help with sleep. And a woman said she put it in tomato juice and AHA, light bulb moment.

I mix 1 cup tomato juice, 2 TB ACV, horseradish, tabasco, and worcestershire sauce and drink before bedtime. The first time I did it I slept for 4 straight hours - WOW! It absolutely works! And it tastes great besides (just a bonus).

Now, I'm not going to say the name of the drink (someone in another thread went ballistic because he thought the name was sacrilegious!), but most of you know what it is, and of course it definitely would go well with a little vodka.

Suffice it to say, I've found my 'natural' sleeping pill!

And there's another one you may want to try as well. Now this one is a little strange but a lot of people swear by it - banana tea.
I read about it in a magazine, then looked it up online and it was on Dr Oz.

Take a banana, leave the peel on but cut off the ends. Bring about 1 1/2 cups water to a boil, add the banana (with the peel) into the water and simmer for 10 min. Strain and drink before bed. Can add some honey and/or cinnamon too.


You can eat the banana and the peel later. Didn't realize the peel is really good for you.
I tried it twice, and it didn't work, but that's just me.

At any rate there are 2 natural sleeping aids for all you insomniacs out there.
