Oh dear.

Surely someone in the New York Police Department Media Department should've expected this.

They sent out a tweet asking for people to tweet photos of the NYPD winning the hearts and minds of the citizenry using the #myNYPD hashtag.

What a major fail that was. Check out the photos that were actually tweeted #myNYPD

They won't do that again.
