I just mentioned John Cena's name because I am amazed by his ability to lift some heavy people even two of them:

When ever we talk about Wrestling many people say fake fake...
but I say these are extraordinary men that have extreme strength.

I also saw another video of John Cena lifting 500 kg or something. Man these people are amazing and they can endure extreme pain!

Very strong. But if you add up the weight...it may be 800 lbs. Impressive, but certainly doable. He just held the weight. He didn't squat with it. He didn't lift it. The other guys weren't resisting, they were helping. They practiced that move several times before they went in the ring. Cena could have probably done that with three guys, if they could keep balanced.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

Yes I can see that the other guys are cooperating but that would crush your backbone if any ordinary weight lifter tries it in my opinion.
The other day I saw John Cena half body outside the ring and undertaker jumping from the top of the ring in all his body weight and and hitting his half body (just like sitting on him) Can not explain it well but all sort of crazy things happen in that ring I don't know how they are doing it without getting injured.

I don't think he is actually leaping all his body weight onto him, he'd be killed.

Sorry to say this but it's a show, not a real fight.

That's why Claude said they 'practised' the move before.

In a clip, I saw Cena smash a man out of the ring yesterday, punch him in the face about 15 times, elbow him and finish off with a shot that would kill a gorilla. The opponent, though 'out cold' didn't have a blemish on him.

      Not a blemish.

Respectfully, I could have done more damage to that man's face with one punch.

An "ordinary" lifter like Jonas Rantanen who perhaps squatted (albeit shallow), double of that weight with concentrated spinal pressure?

even though the show is scripted, these guys performance is remarkable. if any layman tries it, he could die or be broken..

Young man; They do take a beating. They are very strong. But they fight each other several times a week. Have you ever seen one with a black eye? A swelled lip? Bruises? Almost never.

They are cooperating with each other to make the move look devastating. And the one receiving has to make the reaction look real.

But it is very rough and tumble. It takes a lot of energy and stamina to go 20 minutes in a ring. But they aren't really trying to hurt each other, so it takes less energy.

If one gets hurt, it's because a mistake happened.

If you know a punch, slam, body drop, kick is coming...and you have both practiced the move...you can roll with it. and the guy delivering the blow is not trying to hurt you...so you can be body slammed from 7 feet in the air, and not get hurt. It's very athletic, but it isn't sport. It's Vaudeville.

Holding 800 pounds on your back? Body builders do standing calf raises with 1,000 pounds....for reps.

That's why they practice, a sudden shift in weight could cause damage.

To answer the OP, here are the records, from which you can also find the "breakers":

Thanks mike for the page. Google would show me only a page of Olympic tops. Then I found this guy in Youtube - 460kg
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygCRtex_GDo

The debate on Wrestling being fake or not has been for long. I watched some reporter asking a wrestler if wrestling is fake in youtube only to be knocked down with a slap by the wrestler.

I do believe wrestling is fake or scripted but they do take severe blows at times. And we saw many accidents on the scene. I saw a leg broken like a wood in the ring.

I have been watching wrestling for a long time but I don't watch now as I did before. But I still think there are some free from script matches or what are those medals for? for best acting like in the Oscars?

Yeah, Dikul is ridiculous, but I have trust issues when it comes to circus performers. :p

I'm not sure if the reporters being slapped by wrastlers is real?
I think maybe a few of them, but a lot of those are staged, too.
Real wrestlers don't really allow their opponents to pick them up off the ground.

But yeah, they do take a lot of punishment. In recent memory, Mick Foley
comes to mind? Not to mention Owen Hart.

It's a mistake to compare them to professional fighters or weight lifters.
But then it's also a mistake to completely discount what they do.
I think that's the point people are trying to make?

I guess I can understand someone not fighting back. But why wasn't this guy arrested? Sued?

And Stossel whining about his hearing loss? What a little girl.

Forgive me but if he slapped me with some blonde nancy boy haircut while wearing underpants and if I couldn't win the fight there and then, I'd come back with a brick instead.

I get it. I also get that some men don't have that in them. Not everyone is a fighter. But a whiner?

And asking "Is wrestling fake" was really stupid. And he was aggravating.

Sorry Claude, I wasn't trying to make you get anything. I don't blame the chap for running off either, having a whinge is another matter mind.

I'm just saying I wouldn't have handled it the same as he did. I'm not saying it should he should have acted differently, I just couldn't have run off. Having said that I wouldn't act like the interviewer.

I actually thought that whole bit was part of the show at first, until I realised it wasn't.

I almost stopped watching wrestling b/c of too much interruption and talks not being able to see some good fight even if scripted. I like Kobe's moves and some others but it is still interruption and lots of talk!
