What areas can new members post in?

Hello again. I just tried to post in a thread I found quite interested in and was a little surprised to see that I wasn't aloud to post there until I meet a minimum post requirement.

I first want to say that I have absolutely no objections to this whatsoever! Every forum and blog needs to have some form of restrictions to combat the spam plague.

But I do tend to babble a bit in my posts, which takes some time. I don't want to take the time to write a quality post to have it rejected, but I also don't want to go around "testing" where I can post by posting meaningless, spammy replies.

Can anyone here help me out by maybe providing with a list of areas where I can post as a new user until I fulfill the requirements?

Thanks in advance.

Posting in the WSO section is off limits - because those are special offers by members who pay to advertise their offers there. The restriction hopefully gives time for new members to read the rules rather than jumping in a WSO thread trying to promote or carry on a discussion and disrupt the seller's thread.

Don't think there's a restriction on posting in the classified section. The War Room is a paid members only section. Posts in Off Topic, Test forum and possibly others do not count toward total posts.

There's a lot of great info in the main discussion section and that's the best place to start. You're welcome here - but this is considered the "happy hour bar" as we're a bit nuts down here.

Ha ha. Awesome. Sounds like I'm in the right place. I don't go by any particular time zone; I'm on "Global Time," so it's always happy hour 'round here.

Anyhow, thanks alot for the help. 2nd day here and I already really like this place!

Rob - you are free to post here in the bar.........but in all decorum, "new guys" are expected to buy a round. Don't bother to wait for the waitress, just bring em around yourself, this crowd is really thirsty.

      It's a good rule - "it's always 5 pm somewhere"
