OK...I'm confused. I started a thread today asking a simple question about how to monetize a facebook fan page and the mods closed my thread after 3 replies. I broke no rules as far as I know. I cant even find the thread by searching for it. The only reason I know it is closed because someone replied to me, and I followed the link via email to the post. That person asked me to post a link, which I did not. I was able to locate the page from that link, and even that persons post is gone, and the thread closed. OUCH! Crikeys.

It was closed because that thread should be in this section below!
    Social Media Marketing Forum

Whoever the mod was, he/she could have just moved it over to that section without the need to lock the thread.

In all fairness, especially in the OT section which is being hammered with spam, I'm not surprised they didn't bother moving it. Yesterday had a lot coming in too.

I'd just re-ask in the correct section Glenda. I just found the thread and it says this at the top now...

Moderated: please post this in the Social Media Marketing forum.

Moderate should move the thread rather close it

Normally they would but considering the amount of spam in the OT section I doubt they have time.

Besides, it's their site, their business.

People should post in the correct forum in the first place and there wouldn't be an issue. Closing the thread trains people to post in the right place if they want answers. Each person chooses to cooperate or not. Those who don't shouldn't expect special treatment.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

No offence to OP but how damn difficult is it to read?
When you login to WF you are taken to the "home" page where all the forums are clear as day for everyone to see.
If you can't figure out that there are different forums for specific topics even after a few logins, well then i don't know...

And like Dennis said if Mods just moved threads people would just keep posting wherever they wanted, that's human nature. Just like a puppy, some people don't learn unless you rub their noses in it...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.
