Well, they INSISTED people like me were wrong! They pushed it! NOW, they are suing the messenger that is saying "HEY, PSST...., BUDDY, They were right!"

In a related story.... The claimed eradication of caps is now HISTORY! Watch for new caps, part of a plan called "reference pricing". Make sure you pick a CHEAP hospital!!!!!!

OH YEAH, that change I have talked about for over a decade was never done. OH WELL, maybe you can rely on supposed estimates somewhere, assuming the relationship hasn't changed recently.

I love how they say people with cobra CAN change to OC. They NEVER mention whether or not COBRA will exist after the signup period. The idea of cobra was to "KEEP YOUR POLICY/HOSPITALS/DOCTOR if you wanted". PRIVATE insurance people had to switch, so COBRA likely forces a switch ALSO. COBRA, a policy created about 25 years ago http://www.dol.gov/ebsa/pdf/fsCOBRAanniversary.pdf , is basically a method to treat EMPLOYER provided insurance like private insurance so you can keep it for a time after you no longer work for your employer.

    Most if not all of your claims about the ACA have fallen flat - we'll see about this one.

    What's truly interesting is the amount of people who are rooting for a law like this to fail.

      ACTUALLY, they have all either come true, or are WELL on their way. One of my most off the wall ones that apparently NOBODY else even WHISPERED has two basic parts. One has ALREADY happened! And the other? Well, some are now SCREAMING it will happen.

      As for this? SORRY!!!!!!! I am not saying it MIGHT happen! I am saying it ALREADY HAS! It HAS happened ELSEWHERE to MILLIONS, but THESE people are in california! Most VOTED for it! And they are suing the insurance company! They change like EVERYTHING around the insurance company and then complain to the insurance company that they don't have the same places IN NETWORK! THAT is a HOT ONE!

    WOW TL. Remove those rose colored glasses.

    And I would have LOVED to see a DECENT plan succeed. I don't care WHO promotes it, etc... But they idea that you can pay for health insurance by raising taxes on hospitals and medical devices is MORONIC! HOW could ANYONE trust anyone claiming otherwise? Would YOU believe someone that said they could lower the price of milk by giving subsidies paid for by taxing whole milk? That is effectively what they are doing. If you get skimmed milk, MAYBE you may see a decrease, but what if you needed whole milk? What of things made with whole milk? And whole milk will only SEEM to cost less. Eventually, you may find OTHER milk costs more. And removing leading research hospitals from networks is dumb ALSO! And restricting premiums based on other premiums REGARDLESS of conditions?

    I DID check out the OC offerings. If I go there, my potential costs will skyrocket. My fixed costs will skyrocket. The network will SHRINK(As california recently found out). And there WILL be caps(as indicated in that industry report). And I don't have the luxury that MANY have of knowing what hospitals they can likely use. I have been in hospitals in about 6 states! Only TWO were ones I planned!

    And I HAVE had several doctors that told me they DON'T accept medicare! So you should be able to see the writing on the wall. And NOW, the VA?
