I rented "her" last night, but I couldn't stop thinking of Google.

I stopped the movie as it started, I wanted to establish two points in my mind:

1) I want to enjoy the movie for the movie's sake; the story, the acting, etc.

2) I want to be open to the future possibilities of companies like Google and see how they might use this (and manipulate us?) in the future.

A couple of notes:

"I'm in love with an operating system. I been seeing her for a few months now."

I've been secretly seeing your operating system. Sorry.

A human, serrogate sexual partener for your operating system...
Okaaayyyy...

Could my operating system / girlfriend leave me for another operating system or group of other OS's? or users?

"We're only here briefly, so while I'm here I want to allow myself... joy."

Good movie? Yes.

Great movie? No.

Interesting movie? If you let it be.

...

...

As far as Google goes, we haven't seen anything yet.

I'd probably like the movie - the geek in me would - the part of me that cherishes privacy would probably be outraged thinking about Google spying on all of us though.
