Help! This is what I get when I try to check my site with Alexa:
No sites about 'http://how-to-have-a-flat-stomach.com'
with users in United States were found.

Please modify your query and try again.

This past Friday is when I discovered this issue. I made a change to "About Page" and since that time I've had problems with Alexa on my WP Blog. I changed the blog theme also I'm no longer getting comments to my blog.

I change the "About Page" back to what I had originally, but no luck with Alexa. Suggestions please. If my site can't be found on Alexa what impact does that have?

Thanks for all your help!

Alexa is a myth - it's basically a spyware system that tracks searches from the toolbar that you have to download. It then reports back in sales figures the number of searches made by others who have been fooled into believing their system. Get rid of the toolbar, it's a spy and can lead to PC problems.

Ok! You're right I did copy the Alexa html code onto my website and I'll remove it now. I' will take your advise. My question is when alexa shows how many site are linking to me (my site) and now that I'm no longer showing stats on alexa does that impact PR ? Or is PR more for google?

Alexa is only one of the tools you can use a more precise tool would be google analytics with gives you detailed information about visitors with real time results.

I use Alexa Rank solely as a measuring tool to motivate me to work harder at doing things to improve my online business. When my AR goes down, it motivates me to procrastinate less and write more blog posts, more articles for the directories, more activity on social sites and forums, etc.

Other than that, I don't see any real value and I agree with much of what has been said here about it.

I didn't know Alexa ranked people. I won't even ask her how she ranks me.

Alexa audience is too small. Some people have even never heard about Alexa. Accordingly, they have no Alexa toolbar installed on their browser so even the best websites with huge traffic will not be ranked by Alexa or at least not ranked as high as in Google.

I was never aware that it will affect the Alexa ranking if you made some changed even in the about page. Is that really true?
