How do you turn a training course from theory into practice?

Have done a course or read a book, and then failed when you tried to implement the learning into your business.

I would be grateful if you would share your thoughts on turning what you learn into action.

Do you have a system in place to decimate your learning from courses and WSO etc ?

The key word is, 'action.' Without putting that into place your purchase was nothing more than financial and mental masturbation.

    Absolutely.
Do you use a system to record things that you learn and don't have time to put into action or not relevent at this time to the project you are focusing on?

I am extremely committed to making my current projects, which are quite large in scope, the absolute last things I ever do. If the new materials are not extremely germane to them, not only do I not record and/or store them - I completely delete them from my computer.

Each time I do this I feel energized by knowing that I have unburdened myself of guilt by not adding one more thing to my 'to do' list that will never get done, but it also empowers me by reinforcing my commitment to stay focused on the immediate tasks at hand, free of additional distractions.

      Life is short!

Frank what a great simple idea.

So in other words you do not collect baggage, but stay clearly on track.
I unfortunately have a tendency to hoard information until its needed. The clarity you have on your direction is something for me to achieve as well.

        Thank you for the insight.

I am nothing, if not simple. lol

Yes, but understand that I am still putting this into practice. I still have boxes of crap that I have been lugging from state to state over the past 40 years that still weigh on me. I'm assuming you're a younger person, what my ilk refers to as a 'snot-nosed kid' as we yell at you to 'get off our lawn.'

As I approach my twilight years I am now divesting myself of as many things as I possibly can, both material and mental. Out must go the books I'll never get to read, the clothes I'll never get to wear, the ideas I'll never get to bring to fruition, the friends that don't worship the ground I walk on and everything else that has any effect on my psychological freedom.

If you are young, I would suggest to you that you employ this tactic starting now. Be honest with yourself about your abilities and realistic in recognizing the time constraints that we mere mortals are bound by. If like me, your head is always bursting with myriad ideas on how best to change the world - put the breaks on that. I was not kidding when I said that life is short. While we all know it at some prinal level, but most of us don't 'get it' until we're almost ready to curl up in preparation for the big dirt nap.

Nothing wrong with that, as long as it just doesn't become nothing more than detritus, strewn along your path through life.

Right. It only took half a century in business to get here. lol
          Thank you for the insight.
Not a problem. I send out my PayPal invoices on the 1st of each month. Keep an eye on your PM box.
