Hi,

I'm thinking about to change for solar energy. Right now, it's expensive. Change it now or wait later.

I would like to know what do you about that kind of energy.

bye

    Hi Hugo,

What kind of Solar? Electric? Thermal will give you your best return on investment. I see you are in Canada.Do you have tax credits up there? Google FSEC. This is the Florida Solar Energy Center. They have a lot of useful information there. If you are looking into Solar Electric (PV) then check out a company called Konarka. You can google them as well. If you need more help deciding you can send me a PM with your email address and I'd be glad to help steer you in the right direction.

    Hi,

At one time I was thinking about doing this as well. However, my financial situation changed so I cannot afford it any more. Just the thought of being self reliant is amazing. I was thinking of the whole package. Having solar panels and putting up a windmill. I'm from Canada too and I'm almost sure that the government gives us a discount. However, I was told that they also raise your property taxes as well! Who knows!!!

Yeah, I think ALL places that have property taxes base them on the fact that the home is a fixture and sold with the property and thus raises its value. YOU may never want to sell it, but they still charge you a percentage of what they think you might get if you did.

There was a guy about 1-2 days ago testing out a product for exactly this thing, you should find that post/user and ask him/her. LOL? why not, he/she was wanting an honest review of that product anyways, and it was about going green, using solar power etc....
