Smart FTP - anybody else have this problem?

I have been using Smart FTP for some years and, in February this year, could not renew my subscription.

It has taken them a while to notice (four months, for crying out loud!) but, instead of reverting me to the basic free version they have blocked my access so I can no longer use the programme.

'Support' does not seem to respond.

Did this happen to you, ever, and how did you sort it out?

      i would strongly recommen fireftp.
      A small pluging for mozilla firefox.
      Easy to use open source and free
      Ever since i found it its the only thing ive been using.

    I used SmartFTP forever, until it stopped working for me. I couldn't figure out why (and needed to ftp RIGHT NOW!) so I ended up switching to fireftp. Totally love it, and I haven't used anything since either.

      They may have discontinued the free FTP service. I know one of the FTP services I use discontinued their free service, but not sure if it was Smart FTP or not.

    I recommend Filezilla. Easy to use, free and works great on both Mac and PC.
