Are You In A Smart State Or Dumb State?

Neither. At the moment, I'm in a state of confusion.

I mean why would you judge a state's intelligence by short little tweets?

I know. That's silly. But the authors of that research were from a dumb state.

With only 10 points difference from the high end to the low end, the "smart" or "dumb" of it is hardly anything to tweet about.

Well, of course, I choose dumb states whenever possible. It's so much easier to appear outrageously intelligent when you are surrounded by the mentally stunted.

I came up with a good way to do this BUT, after seeing the common core garbage, I feel that we should simply have states create standards based on federal suggestions(Created by company executives and parents), and maybe have some standard test to reveal or fill holes if the students have problems.

Kindergarten to 12th, they should have a standardized test testing all things expected to be known at that point, and base these stats on THAT! The test should pull from a larger pool, and should be kept secret from teachers.

      STATE OF INSANITY!!!

That must mean, l am in that state as well?

Victoria, might be boring, unless you like wine tasting, or visiting boring small towns, but insane?

Hmmm, as Sal has said, maybe that explains my super high intelligence?

But Victoria, Melbourne, does have that British style Ferris wheel; yep, pay $30, go up with a glass of wine, and hang on for dear life when it comes to a stop!

      Sounds like fun!!!!

So - people in California made the assessment for the UK Daily Mail (maybe because no one else would publish the story?).

      Oh my goodness.

I wonder if it occurred to the "researchers" that people with high intelligence levels may NOT be posting tweets at all....

Kay, there's no place for logic when there are meaningless points to be made in the name of gaining publicity.

After noting the correlations, Kolmar added it would not hurt if some states, even smartest ones, added a "class on incorporating proper grammar, spelling and word choice into tweets."
Why in the billy blue hell would anyone want to do that?

I think a better test would be to see who is the best at packing the most into 140 characters...

I would think a more telling gauge for stupidity is:
    1. amount of people walking out in front of moving cars because they are watching their ipods
    2. amount of cars parked at the local walmart
    3. amount of people that can tell you what movie stars are doing on any given date, but have no clue what bills are circulating in congress.

My state isn't listed as one of the 10 ten idiot pools - but I'm thinking that if it gets any worse here we'll see cud chewing along with texting.
