Hey, I'm trying to figure out how to factor in the "fudge factor" in the following equation:

(I'm sure it's probably quite simple, however, I have no idea how to do it.)

P.S. Just so it's 100% clear, I'd like to do the calculation for my own traffic.

    Step 6: Per each SERP, we took the actual visits and compared that number to how many Chitika’s calculations would project it should get. The percentage of difference between the two numbers is what we call a “fudge factor”, or the percentage that Google AdWords inflates the global search volumes for a given keyword.

    (1606-2782)/2782 = 42.2717.....%

    He doesn`t use the same figures. At first he uses the figure 42.29% as average , and then switches to 42.49% without explanations in the middle of the article.

    if you want to make a future estimate and want to use his 42.29% figure, simply multiply your expected traffic by 0.5771
