Happy 4'th of July my American friends! Hope you celebrate well by eating lots of turkey and firing a heck a lot of fireworks!

And remember, your greatest days are ahead of you although times might be tough.

Thank you for actually knowing that it is independence day and not the 4th as so many people celebrate. The 4th of July is the date and Independence day is the Holiday

I too knew that. But I was unsure how to spell "independence" on the go as English isn't my first language.

    Thanks Jimmy!
I don't know if turkey is the meal of the day. For most, it's BBQ's! Burgers, hotdogs, all the stuff!

My husband bought us a couple of 1+ pound ribeyes! We will be staying home, but if the sky is clear tonight, we will be able to see some fireworks. HOWEVER, we will be spending most of this evening keeping the dogs from going nuttso!

Turkey? lol. Maybe in November, but today it'll be hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks, and beer.

Fraid not. I eat turkey once or twice a year ... one of those days being Thanksgiving. Independence day is noted for cookouts ... on the BBQ, so anything good on the BBQ for today is good.

I grilled some turkey brats yesterday, so I'll give you partial credit, Jimmy.

Was a good holiday here in Texas.

Just sat outside with my daughters and their Cousins doing Hulo hoop and eating grilled out burgers and baby back ribs on Grand Ma's porch all day.

Its nice to sit out here in the back yard and just chill out with Diet Coke which would have been lots and lots of Beer for me in past Independence days
