      Good job.

Hell forbid people leave this thread bearing the deluded assumption that Thuderbirds son is tapping into the third eye of Xenu....

I think it may more this child's ability to reason and use facts he knows.

He knows the moon is a planet and reflects the sun's light - if he knows the earth is a planet, he's using logic to come up with an answer. Smart kid,4.

Did you ask your son, 4, how he knows that?

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

No, I didn't ask my son (4 años de edad ) how he figured that, but he does know the moon's phases. He was chuckling when he said it, so I guess he was joking around.

(I knew someone would call me on that "4" stuff sooner or later. It is basically for keeping track and maybe someone arriving here for the first time and not yet tired of my abundant posts on him and the repetitive "my son, 4" stuff)

I would have asked him, but that's just me. Sometimes the answers are more surprising than you'd expect.

I wasn't "calling you out" on the "4" stuff, I was just having a little fun. I think it's kind of amusing that you do that. Nothing wrong with it at all.

I, 38, think that's a fantastic use of reason and logic. You've got a smart one there, Thunderbird, age undetermined.

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Yeah, there are plenty of adults, that would never make that connection.

But, like Dennis, I'd love to know how he worked that out. The answer to that question, is more fascinating, I think.

      Thunderbird:
And congratulations, you have a very bright young man. You must be doing something right.

And being a good Dad is far more important than anything else we can banter about.

Keep posting. Everyone here with kids, will identify with everything you say about your little guy. Four years old, is a fascinating age to be.

38? I was going to guess your IQ as higher...maybe 56.

OK, here is why this is funny. You see, Riffle posted his age (which is 38), but I purposely took his age to mean his IQ (are you following me here?).

And 38 is a very low IQ, so I'm insinuating that Riffle is an idiot. But it's a joke, because he's obviously not an idiot. And that's why it's funny.

Thanks for explaining that. I, IQ < 150, may not have gotten it on my own.

Well, 4 years of age is just dandy. It's a time of life when your "Vulcan " ears start sprouting, if you don't raise the correct "alien" questions.

Dennis, look at his signature links. He's obviously had a "visit". They're out there you know.

I think the question assumes there is only one type of mindset for aliens. Are we talking purple people eaters, power hungry conquerors, friendly, sophisticated or dumb as a pile of rocks? The mindset would certainly be different depending on the type of alien, assuming aliens actually exist out there somewhere.

If I were an alien, I probably wouldn't even think of getting near earth. They would be better off without us.
