Something I should have considered before (you can also benefit)

Okay, so over the last 6-12 months I have been having computer issues. My PC kept crashing, and every time I would 'fix' it, it was merely temporary.

So, instead of continuing to use my relatively limited computer skills to once again, fix it, I thought it would be a better idea to simply connect my laptop with my monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I had considered this earlier, but thought it would be more of an inconvenience than anything. However, I am already seeing significant differences.

1. Whatever I do on my computer, obviously saves on my laptop (since technically I am using my laptop). So instead of having to transfer files, I simply disconnect my laptop and take it with me, with all the files.

2. It allows for dual monitors. Although it's not 'ideal' having a 24" monitor and a 17" laptop, it's better than just using the one, and allows for more multitasking abilities.

3. My office is now completely silent. I hardly hear any hardrives, fans or anything. Not that this is too significant - it just makes it better for a working environment.

I'm not sure if this will benefit anyone or not, but I'm happy I decided to give it a try!
