It got 4 stars in the paper reviews, and half the human race is gone!

    Sounds pretty good so far?

Maybe throw in a couple of zombies and it would be perfect!

I haven't seen it but I liked the look of the trailer so will be popping along to see it.

That right there is the best thing to do, go along and see what you think.

Don't take my advice though, I actually enjoyed 'Cockneys and Zombies' so my opinion on films should probably be ignored.

I haven't seen that, but I hope the zombies end up winning.

Why do garden gnomes smell so bad?
So that blind people can hate them as well.

Nah, not against the Cockneys. Did you watch the trailer? Very funny film.

I believe I have it in my Netflix queue. It's on my Must Watch list now.

Have any of you watched Jackass: Bad Grandpa?

Learned this week (a bit late) that a kid who used to practically live at my house in high school and college was nominated for an Oscar for the special effects makeup for the movie. Of course, he's not a kid now.

He's always loved special effects and stage makeup - he and my son made a couple of (really bad) horror movies way back when.

I added Bad Grandpa to my netflix list just to see Steve's work!

Long list of movie credits for Steve - good to see he's doing well.

"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Zombies"?

          Niah, doesn't work!

But when 100 of these apes learn how to make a Nuclear weapon, then more apes on a neighbouring continent will automatically do the same.

So, they have another advantage, no wonder they take over, least until Charton Heston, destroys the Earth.

Unless the two apes that go back in time, and leave their clever offspring to create a different reality, so the Earth stays intact in 3755?

Or maybe l shouldn't watch all the ape movies in one hit?

My son is going to see it tonight with some friends. He's super excited. They've ran the five original "Planet of the Apes" on SciFi at least twice this week, as well as the first of the new movies. He'd never seen the originals before. It was kind of cool watching Charleton Heston, one of my all time favorite actors, in that role again.

The first Planet of the Apes is a true classic, with one of the best endings of all time.

Everytime I see remakes of great movies I think of the John Waters quote when he said something like we don't need to remake the good movies, it's the bad ones that need to be remade.

Yeah, this is a sequel for RISE of the planet of the apes which is the ******BEST***** reboot I have ever seen. The ORIGINAL tried to explain the planet of the apes through a condition requiring a grandfather paradox. The first reboot I saw showed a weird double paradox that made little sense.

In THIS reboot, they tried to cure alzheimers and it worked like gang busters. I will leave the guts for one to see if they wish, but in the end you have a bunch of super intelligent apes and a couple people with a virus deadly to humans and one is a busy pilot. The film ends showing a contagion scenario.
