He may be right! At least when he is on the Tallest Bicycle in the World. Gotta admit, I was waiting for him to crash...

Ciclavia is an event in LA where they block off certain streets for bikes for one day.

Looks so dangerous, doesn't it? What's going to happen if he suddenly has to stop (as he so nearly did, in three or four places)?

Underground utilities? Neighborhoods sure look better without them. I remember walking on stilts when a little kid, but a 14 foot high bike? Um, no, just no.

Exactly. I couldn't believe he never had to stop. And no helmet? Yowza.

IMAGINE! It would be EASY to lose balance, have to stop at a place, or go flying into the ocean WITH the bike! If I were the police, I would have told him he was NOT allowed to ride such a tall bike, EVEN with a "closed street". WHY? Because of all the problems I stated ******AND****** he went between cars! SUPPOSE he weighed 100 pounds, held onto his bike, and had to stop between two cars. One car would force the other to become a fulcrum, and a force approaching 1000 pounds could have thrown the bars against the other car! It would likely cause severe car damage and, if the tubing didn't bend soon enough, it could have injured people in the car, The other car could have ALSO gotten scratched or worse.

BTW in Indiana, which is probably similar to many other states, the TOTAL height from the lowest part of the wheel to the highest part(in this case the drivers head) should generally be no more than 13' 6"(approx 4.1M). After all, overpasses, street lights, and some older utility connections, have to start SOMEWHERE, and 13'6" is high enough to allow many larger vehicles. Failure to obey that could lead to severe injury including decapitation, electrocution, vehicle damage, and severe fines and charges. LUCKILY, he managed to avoid such problems. But what if he HADN'T?
