Yeah... I wouldn't normally consider them credible, but I don't see them jumping the gun on something like this either.

I'm guessing the major news outlets are being more cautious, without 100% confirmation they aren't going to risk reporting it.

As of right now CNN can't confirm any sources... TMZ has a source from an on-site paramedic.

RIP.

Everyone has an opinion on him... There's no denying he had a dramatic impact on music and pop culture. Sad story.

Just saw this online and was so stunned that I woke my husband up to tell him. He told me that Farah had gone today too, which upset me more for some reason, even though it was expected.

I was never that keen on Michael Jackson, if I'm honest, though that could have had something to do with sharing a room with my sister ('Thriller' era), who was obsessed with him and plastered every available surface with his pictures. For all his wealth and fame, I don't think he had the happiest of lives though, and wasn't the happiest of people. Sad. Hopefully all his struggles are behind him now.

Accused is the key word here...he was never proven to have committed this crime and the accusers were always very shady characters.

You're right...sometimes the jury gets it wrong.

But sometimes people will accuse someone rich and famous of something they did not do hoping for the big paycheck. It worked for the first person that accused him.

I don't know if he did it or not and neither do you. What I do know is that the first accuser let Michael go free in return for money. If Michael was guilty then the first accuser's family is as bad as him as this allowed Michael to commit further crimes. Then the second accuser KNEW of the first incident, but still let her child stay the night with him? This doesn't look suspicious to you?

Based on the accusers' backgrounds and the court ruling, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

No matter what your personal feelings about this guy -- this is really shocking news.

Yet - in the back of my mind, basically BECAUSE of the questionable aspects of his life, I just wonder if he might stage his own death and just get his face changed to something else again so that he can live outside of the continual public eye.

Do you not realise perhaps how difficult it was for him being groomed at such a young age into the limelight. Look what happened to Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain etc.

Don't give all that staging crap. He was a genuinely nice person who donated a great of money to charity and he has left behind a legacy as one of the greatest musicians of all time.

This is a sad, sad day. Ya know, I've wanted to marry him since age 10. What a tragedy. But, it's great to know he left behind so many treasures for us to remember him by. Yet - in the back of my mind, basically BECAUSE of the questionable aspects of his life, I just wonder if he might stage his own death and just get his face changed to something else again so that he can live outside of the continual public eye.

Ya know, I've wanted to marry him since age 10. What a tragedy. But, it's great to know he left behind so many treasures for us to remember him by. My prayers are with him and his family. I guess the man above needed the best entertainer in the world, at this time. He will truly be missed.
