If you ever feel like listening to non stop music of a specific genre, go to
Pandora Radio.

Pandora Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music

Simply type in the name of a group or singer and the site will compile a list
of songs of that genre and play them literally non stop.

It's great for when you don't want to go through the trouble of digging out
a YouTube playlist or hunting through your CD collection. It requires no
intervention at all once you pick the first song. It just plays and plays and
plays...like a non stop radio station.

Helps me a lot when I'm doing some work and need some background music.

Oh yeah, you do have to register to use it, but it's free.

Give it a try sometime.

    I love Pandora.
I have around 6 different channels set up.
What I think is really neat is the way you can rate each song so if you like it they will play more like it and if you don't they won't play the song again.

I'm glad you where too Steve.
Screwed up doesn't begin to describe today though.
I've had a Pandora account for at least a year but forgot all about it till you posted this, thanks again.

For those NOT in the US (Pandora only works for US), here's
    a site I recommend:

Live365 Internet Radio - Thousands of Free Online Radio Stations

Lotsa choices for you to choose from! And there's even
marketing (found one with free recorded teleseminars of
Dr Mike Woo Ming and some other folk)

      Yeah, it's addicting.

If you listen long enough, you will notice patterns, at least at the
      beginning of the playlist run.

For example, choose "Monkees" and you'll get...

      Monkees Tune
      Beatles Tune
      Herman's Hermits Tune
      Simon and Garfunkel Tune

      Monkees Tune
      Beatles Tune
      Herman's Hermits Tune
      Simon and Garfunkel Tune

      And so on.

Eventually, you'll begin to hear some deviation and they'll really begin to
bring in some oddball groups depending on the genre.

They do become a little predictable if you listen to them long enough, but
it still doesn't take away the enjoyment of hearing all these "similar" tunes.

Sometimes I don't quite get how they come up with some of the choices,
but for the most part, they get it pretty right.

Awesome selection Patrician... I must say, I didn't peg you as a Cure fan.

I've been on Pandora for well over a year. I love it!

You end up hearing songs from artists you've never heard of before, or didn't know they covered it, etc. It's like deep-tracks radio

        Great isn't it?
A few of the channels I have are not quite mainstream like Reverend Horton Heat, Bloodhound Gang, Zappa, and Little Feat. Some of the artists that show up on those I don't have a clue about. Some are good some aren't. Nice thing is if you give a song a thumbs down they don't play it again and don't play other songs like it.
