I love this community and all of the helpful people in it first off. I have a question for the seasoned Warriors. With all of the help on here as far as following advice step by step and so on. Do you think that some people may become complacent in their journey to becoming IMers. I mean, a lot of Warriors become great because it is the hard road traveled to get there. My point is I see many people sort of waiting for that moment where they will be shown the light and BAM, they get it. That's not the case at all most of the time right? It's trial and error and try some more. Don't get me wrong, I think that if you can save some one the heart ache of making dumb mistakes by all means. I just don't think that you should rely only on some one else's experience. I'm not great yet, but I will get there. I do follow instruction. I just don't rely on it as the end all beat all. I try different things. Get my hands dirty and see what happens. I don't invest too heavily but i'm not a miser either. I just would like too express that getting in there and doing the work without guidance is how great things happen sometimes. Heck, you might even get a WSO out of it.

You have the right idea. Waiting is just waiting. It makes you older.

Gaining knowledge, then doing, and then reflecting on the actions and results to learn from that -- that's how you grow your skills, knowledge, and business.

Becoming a lifelong student and an action taker is a big part of the battle. Setting goals and making plans to get there is another huge part.

I'll approach this from a different angle. Sure, there's some trial and error. There are also people that get the, BAM! Now I get it, moment. Here's my observation on the main obstacle I see here. People embracing worn out business models. For example, there might have been a time when spun articles and spammed backlinks could get you results but those days are long gone. 10 years ago you had a chance to make it with SEO as your only traffic strategy. Not any more.

Starting out by picking keywords in an effort to rank is a waste of time, at least as your opening strategy. The one thing that stands the test of time is quality content. If people would concentrate on providing valuable content, stuff their target audience would appreciate, the rest of it would fall into place. If you're consistently producing quality content SEO takes care of itself. Finally, too many people approach business with their intent being to do as little as possible to turn a profit, which is just the opposite to what you really need to do.

That is, to overdeliver to your customers. To make them feel special. To make your info and products so special that they want more and tell their friends about you. Unfortunately, many people shoot themselves in the foot doing the exact opposite. Don't be one of them. Good luck.
