Couple of q's about proxies...

1) Any recommendations about paid proxy providers to use?
I saw this one... https://www.torproject.org/

2) The coach I'm following says to use a paid proxy service, then use the exact same proxy, for each specific project (organize them on a spreadsheet). Like, project A uses proxy A, every time. Project B uses proxy B, every time, etc. Not just new/random proxy for each session/hour or day.
(I hope that makes sense) -- That's doable using a paid proxy service, right? They give you a set of proxies, and those SAME different proxies can be used (and SPECIFIC ONES can be used individually, on demand) over and over, over time -- right? You don't have to just use one, then throw it away, like a used tissue -- right?

Please advise.

Thanks!

PS: How do I mentally solve this mental "paradox?"... "Oh yes! It's definitely 100% WHITE HAT -- but I strongly suggest using proxies..." HUH?!?

Does he say anything about why an internet marketer should need to use a proxy at all?

It seems very strange indeed, and rather alarming, to me.

I know there are one or two very occasional, legitimate reasons for using them, but I think those are real rarities and have nothing to do with why 99% of what their users are doing with them, which normally has something to with either deceiving people or breaching the terms of service of other businesses' websites/services.

I'd be very concerned indeed about the quality of coaching I was getting, and the ethics and morality of the "coach", if I'd been advised that. Not necessary "absolutely", but I'd definitely want an explanation, and I'd want it to be a pretty good one.

I'd wonder about that, too. I think the obvious question to ask is "If it's 100% white hat, then why are you telling me to use proxies?". And I'd be really insistent on getting a satisfactory answer to that, before moving on.

    Tim,

As Alexa has mentioned, I would be concerned on just how white hat the techniques being coached are, and I would certainly want a good explanation on why I need to use proxies.

That said, I have not tried the service you mention in #1 but I will comment on your question in #2.

Ordinarily if you purchase private proxies you don't have to throw them away. Generally speaking, you can order however many you need and then you can keep using them for as long as you like.

I have purchased private proxies from several providers over the years and the provider I have been with the past few years is sslprivateproxy. I don't know how well they compare to some of the more "popular" providers, but I can tell you the same proxies have worked for me for a very long time.

Why do I use private proxies? I use them in several keyword research tools in which the use of good proxies speed up the process.

    Cheers
