Oh, I know. You didn't DESERVE study hall.

YOU weren't the one that threw the snowballs at those city buses the week before, one of which landed on the principal's car by mistake. Right.

But there you were--sitting in study hall in the last period of the day while the other kids were out having fun, smoking cigarettes in the school parking lot before walking over to McDonald's.

So, to pass the time, you and your snowball-throwing buddy came up with this:

Joe, I think you mean "detention."

Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.

Nope, I wasn't that talented, so I just drew pictures on the desk.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

Same here! Well, that is until the teacher started taping a large sheet of paper on my desk every day, lol!

I normally read my text books at home and discussed them with my parents so class time held little interest to me. I used that time to practice my drum rudiments. I can still remember getting sent to the principles office for it and then doing it there while he lectured me on paying attention in class.
What really annoyed the principle was that I was for the most part a straight A student

This video actually gives me hope. These kids are far more talented and inventive than I was...or am.

          Impressive really.

Study hall was for everyone where I was, too - and we would have gotten massacred for making noise like that. We didn't have detention. It wasn't allowed for a school to hold a kid outside of class time where I was. They had other ways to torture us.

I have seen kids that will make music from about anything they touch, though.
