      Investigation into Death of Robin Williams

      On August 11, 2014, at approximately 11:55 am, Marin County Communications received a 9-1-1 telephone call reporting a male adult had been located unconscious and not breathing inside his residence in unincorporated Tiburon, CA. The Sheriff's Office, as well as the Tiburon Fire Department and Southern Marin Fire Protection District were dispatched to the incident with emergency personnel arriving on scene at 12:00 pm. The male subject, pronounced deceased at 12:02 pm has been identified as Robin McLaurin Williams, a 63 year old resident of unincorporated Tiburon, CA.

      An investigation into the cause, manner, and circumstances of the death is currently underway by the Investigations and Coroner Divisions of the Sheriff's Office. Preliminary information developed during the investigation indicates Mr. Williams was last seen alive at his residence, where he resides with his wife, at approximately 10:00pm on August 10, 2014. Mr. Williams was located this morning shortly before the 9-1-1 call was placed to Marin County Communications. At this time, the Sheriff's Office Coroner Division suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia, but comprehensive investigation must be completed before a final determination is made.

      A forensic examination is currently scheduled for August 12, 2014 with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.

    I live it when they say "HE HAS BEEN SOBER for ..... years" except for a brief stint in rehab. People *******NEVER******* go to rehab unless there is a real problem, and that isn't brief.

    I doubt this is fake. It is surprising that such people get so depressed. He had a lot of gigs he will be known for and I am sure people will love. He should have been able to live a good life off of any of several.

    The one that immediately stands out for me, that isn't of the doubtfire or sarcastic comedy sort is the bit he played on Law and order(IIRC). He played a guy that people thought was sedate and harmless. The character turned out to be some evil fiend that used his ability to act, impersonate, and persuade, to cause others to help him achieve his goals. He had a bunch of businesses that seemed to back up his story, and he gave the information to the cops. Unfortunately, the cheif had a friend that was turned down for a license because of a problem with fishing, and robins character didn't know and said the fishing was great, etc... The police found what he was doing, and tried him. He acted pro se, and got the jury to believe he was innocent. He leveraged that to create an organization to follow him with flash mobs. WHY did they follow him? To protest the others that caused people to follow them like sheep! !

    Of course, before he did all that. he tricked a guy into killing himself, and tricked a number of people into molesting women.
