Default Is there anyway to appeal a deleted post?

Looks like one of my posts just got deleted? Is there any way to appeal a deleted post? Atleast I would know what was wrong with that post so that I do not repeat it?

If you know why it was deleted then re-post it but don't make the same mistake again.

Don't waste your time to appeal your case.

Thanks Tal. I do not know why it was deleted. I was getting positive response from people about the post. I dont want to repost it to get banned.

I answered to your original post. Don't really know why it was deleted. Maybe a newbie moderator feeling this was an opportunity for him to "shine"?

Don't take it too personally. Everyone it seems has them deleted or moved if you forget or ignore the rules. Up for debate is interpretation of those rules, but the one with the power button wins.

I've had many posts moved, deleted, and sometimes I've been blasted for posting what I thought was funny but it was not viewed by others that way.

Yes, Tyrus. Your response was very helpful which could help other users as well. I really think this deletion process should be more transparent. Atealst 10 moderators need to agree before they delete a post or ban someone. Moderators should lighten up a little bit and let users decide wethear a post is helpful or not. If a post is helpful to one person then the post is worthy of keeping.

So anyone can delete a post then? How does it work?

Yes, but it takes a few members to get 1 post deleted. So I would say that there were a few people who thought your post was inappropriate for some reason.

There are some older members who have more power to get things deleted too, so it doesn't always take a few.

Hope that makes sense to you.

Btw, I wouldn't waste my time trying to figure out why your post was deleted. It'll drive you nuts after a little while. The best thing to do is to learn from it, and or move on.

Are you sure it was deleted and not just moved? Sometimes, rather than being deleted, posts are sent to wither and die in other subforums.

You clearly don't understand how forums work. That isn't even remotely practical. And I don't think there are 10 official moderators in the whole place at this point. I'd be surprised if there were more than 2 in any single time zone.

No way that happens. It would render the place completely unusable by sensible people within no more than 48 hours.

I just clicked on a signature with an affiliate link to Maverick Money Makers; I wasn't happy about clicking on somebody's affiliate link. I thought I read somewhere that it wasn't allowed, but I wasn't sure.

Yes, you read that - read the rules again. You are a mod, too! Report it.
