I Think I'm Here to Stay
For the past six months, I've been frequenting the Digital Point forums and to be honest, it's a cesspool of animosity, arguing and disrespect. It's so bad I don't even like creating or responding to threads because it's inevitable, as soon as you do, some obnoxious jerk will be telling you how stupid you are.
I've been developing websites for about 9 years now and I've developed well over 200 sites in that time. I not only do SEO and marketing as a hobby, I work for a company that pays me $42k a year to do it; I make an additional $5-$20k a year on freelance work. I also have a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in Marketing. Not trying to say I have this perfect knowledge of marketing, web development or SEO, but I do know enough and it really bothers me when some immature 19 year old kid with a website that might get 100 visitors a day tells me I'm an idiot because I say Alexa rank is measure primarily by the number of people with the toolbar installed who visit a website.
In any event, I'm just ranting a bit. I'm really glad the folks who frequent Warrior Forum seem more mature and level headed that some of the other marketing forums out there!
Raising a child is akin to knowing you're getting fired in 18 years and having to train your replacement without actively sabotaging them.
