It took him 45 seconds to effectively say ONE sentence? He says the scope of effect for 2007 wasn't understandable? And this is FOUR HOURS!?!?!?!?!?!? Can somebody PLEASE STOP MAKING NEEDLESS DRECK?

Is this even worth the less than 1 hour it SHOULD take?

One person's opinion on almost any topic, rarely is. I am getting tired of people that are afflicted with diarrhea of the mouth thinking that because they believe in something, that it's gospel - no matter who it is and no matter the subject matter.

      Cheers. - Frank

I saw this when it was shown on TV Down Under in around 2008-9, and enjoyed most of it. However the complete neglect of the role the Knights Templar played in the development of the banking/financial system is/was very sloppy.

Still, it's an interesting, if not entirely accurate documentary series.

I read the book. It's GREAT. I haven't seen this video so thanks for the link. I'm sure it will refresh a bunch of stuff I forgot. I think the greatest strength of the book is that it is descriptive and not prescriptive. You can draw your own conclusions.

What about the Red Shields and their contribution to our modern banking system?

That is covered in the video, although it focuses more on their gold and bond trading activities.

They did show 6 parts here in the states. The playlist I found only had the first 5.

          Thanks for the link.

I just watched this video again and realised that the last episode was missing from it. The original UK version's sixth and final episode was called Chimerica.

At the end of the video above Professor Ferguson mentions how in the next episode he'll explain how the world is getting the balance between income and debt wrong. For some strange reason this episode wasn't shown to American audiences. I've no idea why it wasn't shown, but anyway here it is:

The Ascent Of Money Part 6 - Chimerica.
