What is the Best Movie You've NEVER Seen ?

Mine is Citizens Kane.

I know some critics say it is the best film ever made.

Unfortunately, I just never have gotten around to seeing it.

I hope to soon.

Casablanca is another one that I have never seen either.

Also, I remember recently where someone on a forum said they had never seen Star Wars.

That is hard to believe

Nice. I suspect I got the same reaction when I told my Dad I had never seen Citizen Kane

I've never seen Titanic or Avatar and don't plan on it.

However, I'll have to go with Seven Samurai.

I never watched Titanic. But I've watched The Seven Samurai and Avatar. And based on never watching Titanic, I can definitely say that it's my second favorite movie.

What is the best movie we've never seen? (Is there a sillier question?)

Let's see. What flavor of ice cream do I hate the most, that I've never tasted?

I've never seen Battleship Potemkin or The Bicycle Thief, both of which regularly appear on the list of bestest movies ever.

I have seen Citizen Kane though (it's on my list of bestest movies I HAVE seen).

I've also seen Seven Samurai, but only the version with Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Coburn, Horst Buchholz, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughan and Brad Dexter as the (ahem) Samurai who save a Mexican village from bandits led by Eli Wallach.

I've never seen any movie in the Star Wars series at all (and honestly don't imagine that any of them is the "best movie I've never seen"). I've seen plenty of Star Trek, though.

I've also never seen The Godfather (and I accept that that's probably a glaring omission that should be corrected). I've seen the whole of The Sopranos, though (and that probably isn't true of many people my age ).

How old are you ? LOL

The last Run of the Sopranos was 2007. You joined WF in 2008.

Were you considered to young back then to watch Sopranos ??

(I knew 14 year old nephews who got into it and a lot of their friends.)

Yeah back, in 2006 when my wife and I first moved into together in Nashville she was waiting for her Nursing license and I was working from home so we had June-Septemeber completely free that Summer.

We watched the whole Sopranos and Sex and City in like 5 days on DVD.

Both were awesome. I could not believe I actually got glued to Sex and City Never in a million years lol

As much as I liked the Godfather (the first two anyway), I think the Sopranos was better.

Maybe because it was contemporary, maybe because the longer format of six seasons of thirteen episodes each allowed more character development, maybe it's just my personal taste.

BTW, have you got that box set of Breaking Bad yet?

Yeah I can remember years before this I would made fun of my Aunt and Uncle for watching what I thought was a "silly chic'" show.

Sorry Big Frank I honestly walked up out of the first Matrix at the Theater and left my good buddy watching it by myself.

One of the most boring movies I have ever seen in my Life. I am not a big sci- fi .

Well, the first one was vaguely interesting even though I didn't have a clue as to what was going on. I should have quit after the first one.
One of the most boring movies I have ever seen in my Life.
Yeah - I have to agree. The second one was dreadful. The third? I think I kept watching it so if anyone ever asked me what the absolute worst movie I ever DID see was, I'd be sure to have a ready answer. It was pure garbage.
          I am not a big sci-fi.
Nor, I - of movies. I did go through a period of devouring any sci-fi short story I could get my hands on and became a huge fan of Philip K. Dick. I made much better movies from his books, in my mind, than I have generally seen on screen.
Of course, I did love Jurassic Park ( if that is considered Sci-Fi)
          Well, it ain't musical-comedy. lol

Agreed, but the thread was about, what was the single best single movie you have never seen. Not several choices or taking one that is acclaimed as being the best, that you have not seen.

Should change it to, you are going to be put on a desert island, you have one movie to take with you and the means to watch it as much as you like.

        Which one would it be?

I have not made up my mind yet.

You might say then "You are are going to be put on a desert island and you can not take any movie with you that you have not seen yet and have no means to watch it anyway if you had. Which one would you have chosen not to take that you have not seen yet.

            Does that make sense?

Getting back to the topic without the Island bit.

If you have read Hey Sal's Book, "How to Unsee" you would be able to choose any movie you like because you can follow the instructions to Unsee it. But, there is a problem...

I have read HeySals book 4 times. The reason is I have bought it 4 times. I am leaving a note on the thread to be reminded of this. Due to a clever marketing ploy, I suspect their is some carefully worded text in there that after teaching you to Unsee it makes you Unsee the book, it's contents and title, and of course how to Unsee.

So when you look at your previous posts and hers she cleverly makes reference to it so you go out and buy it again thinking what a great idea. Very Clever.

I have pieced together all this from previous posts and credit card purchases and am keeping careful notes.

            Update soon.

Many, many I have never seen, nor desire to. Odd considering I worked movie theaters in high school and college and loved movies then. Of all the famous or critically acclaimed movies, I have to say that I tried to watch "Silverado" twice. A friend really liked it. I fell asleep trying to watch it at the theater, and at home.
