    This is so sad - and so angering. I would love to see an army unleashed against these poachers and would love to watch them slaughtered the same way they slaughtered these creatures. Whatever can do these things is not human - not animal. They are from the bowels of hell and need to be sent back.

    MAN, that is HORRIBLE! They probably didn't want the baby attacking them or some such, and did this, but they could have released it later. They killed the WHOLE HERD!?!?!? If you keep doing that, you WILL exterminate the whole species.

    And, as I said, they DO care about one another. Apparently even past death.

    And cows milk is only for cows, and even then, maybe only for young ones. It is likely to be incomplete or totally deficient in something and even a large number of humans can't tolerate it. I think it is surprising that people fed the calf and didn't even try to free it, or have a preserve do so.

    That's a sad story. Some people have no consideration for life or suffering, I don't understand the point of leaving the baby tied up to the tree that is very cruel indeed.

    Side note I would have been afraid to have an elephant in that small plain (even though he was only a baby).
