I don't know if my Dad and I are going nuts or what, but last night we see a UFO for the second time in 3 months. The first time, it was headed Northeast towards NY, we're in Ohio. Last night, it was headed in what appeared to be a northwest direction.

I searched twitter after seeing it and there were others who reported the same thing at the same time.

This thing was fiery and small...I wish I would have gotten a pic of it. I don't think this had anything to do with nature because there was nothing on the news that suggested anything like that would be in the sky. The last time I saw it was around the 4th of July....

One of the interesting things about the word "Unidentified" is that it means that you have not identified it. It doesn't mean that nobody knows what it is.

But unless someone really knows what it is? They are just making it up. Consider that, when they theories start coming in.

What if they're not stars? What if they are holes poked in the top of a container so we can breath?

You need a camera equipped to make things look grainy and blurry for that.

Well, could it be just some fireworks? Just thinking the obvious.

I've never seen fireworks travel at least 1000 miles...from the southeast to the northeast.

How do you know it was at least 1,000 miles? How do you know how far away it was? It's speed?

The only thing you could really tell was the direction.

See, that's the problem with guessing.....your mind fills in what you don't know.

It was fiery? It could have been a shooting star, or the atmosphere could make any shiny object look blurred enough to be fiery.

But those are just guesses. See? Everyone does it.

Because I'm in Ohio. It traveled from North Carolina through Ohio to NYC. Either way, it was a UFO...neither you or I knows what it was...

So, people in NYC and North Carolina reported seeing it too? You didn't mention that before.

I didn't think I had to be that specific. I apologize...I said it was seen from the southeast and northeast...

So you heard reports of others seeing the same thing in NYC and North Carolina?

Cool. I wish I could have seen it. I'll bet someone saw this through a telescope, and has a very good idea of what it was.

You got a point there. Here's hoping it's not a top secret government missile experiment fired during the festivities to disguise itself as "fireworks"

It amazes me how much stuff you can see in the sky that doesn't look quite right if you go out far enough there's no light wash to hide it.

I'm not saying we have aliens flying all over (although we could for all I know), but there's a lot of weird stuff going on up there. Just what comes off of military bases can be pretty bizarre looking and while those things are UFO's to us, they sure aren't to some people. About the most you can hope for identifying some stuff is to be able to tell "natural" from "made".

Yes there are many unknown things seen in the sky and there have been for many, many years. Often there is no known or logical explanation.
Think about the level of knowledge that existed 200 years ago and than think about the level of knowledge and technological advances that exist today. The difference is amazing.
When I was a kid the cartoon The Jetsons showed an advanced sci-fi world of incredible advancements. In reality today we far exceed anything the Jetsons could do.
Perhaps someday we will know what the UFOs that are regularly seen are but for now they are generally just another mystery.

I believe in UFO's and when I was younger remember seeing three in a triangle pattern several different nights always in the same part of the sky. Makes you wonder what people miss from not looking at the stars though.

A few years back (quite a few now) there was a Warrior here that had some sort of connections with the UK military. They had some incidences of UFO's back then that really had the military upset - too much speed for one thing. They'd just show up and be gone, but seemed to like to mess around by their jets. Never know what these things are - but it would be stupid to say they don't exist.

I heard that this Warrior is no longer in the forum because he was abducted by aliens!

My guess is that those suffering from seeing UFO's are actually under the influence..amazing what you can see or do with some hallucigenic type drugs out there.
