That is indeed a terrible thing to do, but compared to this waste this is worth something to ponder more of., and these are all brand new. Straight from the factory to a large parking lot.

      snopes.com: Unsold Cars

Even the text in the faux "Unsold Cars" article is misleading: According to The Truth About Cars, "Sheerness is one of the leading ports for the importation of cars to the United Kingdom." The updated photos showing all those cars in the U.K. aren't unsold inventory waiting to be shipped; they are the precise opposite -- these are cars in the pipeline that dealers have ordered, not a vast graveyard of autos waiting to rust.
That Zero Hedge Article On Unsold Cars Is Bullshit

Not that there aren't stockpiles of new cars. Just that the article you linked to was debunked a while back.

I gotta believe there is more to this than Zero Hedge is telling us.

I mean really, what is to stop people from stealing them and reselling or just using the cars themselves?

More than likely, these cars have serious defects (like a cracked frame) and are scrap. Now, that would make sense.

And this is why you don't buy cars at a regular car auction.. salvaged or totaled
