Take a look at this character's nose ring.

I get the rebellious youth thing. I had long hair and all that in 1977. But seriously, what if you catch one of these nose or ear rings on something, and you know they will eventually, wouldn't it rip right though the whole nose or ear?

I've seen worse. LOL. I'm wondering how he breaths through his nose at all. I also wonder what look he is going for? It definitely isn't sex appeal.

I think the accompanying text for that picture explains it

It's not like he (she?) would look better without the ornaments.

I was fascinated last year when I was dealing to a fellow with big wooden disks in his ear lobes. I finally said "can I just look at that". He explained how the ear gradually stretched with larger disks. He seem to appreciate my asking about it.

A friend told me I was rude to ask - that I should have acted like I didn't notice. Excuse me? If you wear 2-3" disks inserted into your ear lobe - it's not because you don't want to be noticed.

There are some things I simply do not understand - this kind of personal decoration is one of those things.

Ugh! I am not even going to ask what happens if he gets a head cold and his nose runs.

At least when he gets into the inevitable fight, he, (she) can take out extra cover for its nose!

Serious? That's a handle. Think what you could do to him if you grab him by the handle. LMAO. I'm betting he's pure pacifist.

Imagine the build up of snot behind that thing.

On second thoughts, probably best not to imagine it at all.

I once threw and egg at a politician from a moving car.

I had good aim, and a good throw, but it hit the beam above him and he got gooey egg in his hair.

I considered myself a rebel that day, with a cause, but i failed so I gave up that gig. LOL

It's ridiculous how some people look.

To be honest, I just need to look at someone like that and they annoy me.

When my sons were teens - long hair on males was the "thing". My rule was "don't care how long your hair is as long as it's clean and out of your eyes". When they grew up, they cut their hair

My younger son's big rebellion was piercing an ear with his friend, Steve. They did it one night at my house while I was out and were so proud (they were about 15 or so). They had purchased one pair of rhinestone studs and each had one in his ear.

My comment "guys, even I don't wear rhinestones with jeans". The next day they both switched to gold studs

What I did notice was when they went to school - my son removed his "earring" before going into the school and replaced it after school. Within a month - no more earring. His friend, Steve, had parents who were truly shocked and he proceed to wear long earrings and chains and all sorts of stuff that year.

Both ended up fine - neither wears any earring now. Guess it was only fun when it was 'shocking'. Not surprising with my son who is in business - but Steve is a makeup artist in Hollywood (nominated for an Academy Award this year). Guess they got it out of their system.
